Hear these words, my soul, and wonder,

Will they join against the Lord?

2 Vain is human opposition,
God is stronger than His foes,
Treats resistance with derision,
And His power by vict'ry shews.
Now be wise, His kingdom own;
Reverence Messiah's throne.
