Accused of being a traitor, the terrified teen-age girl stood facing the military judge. A gendarme guarded her escape. She knew that most defendants left this court bound for the firing squad. Since she was not allowed a defense attorney, she pled her own case. Favorably impressed, the judge said, “My dear girl. I’m sorry we have troubled you. Almost you have persuaded me to be like you. We Moslems believe many of the same things you do, but we don’t practice them as faithfully. I am happy to find people in our land who live out the principles of our religion...May Allah be merciful to you. You are acquitted. Go in peace.”

Readers will be captivated by Diamondola’s courage, faith, and sacrifice which was attended by endless miracles. During the dying days of the Ottoman Empire, 13 year-old Diamondola began her mission. At the risk of life, she preached the gospel in Turkey, Yugoslavia and Greece.

Strona 19 - AND moreover, because the Preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs. The Preacher sought to find out acceptable words : and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.
Strona 10 - Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another : and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.
