It is addressed to them rather than to other readers. Five of his sermons have been selected for publication. Of these, the first two were preached on the occasion of his last visit to Cambridge a few weeks before his death; the third was preached ten years earlier in Huntly, and printed by him at the request of his congregation there; and the two remaining sermons have been chosen as characteristic pulpit discussions of large subjects.
