V.26. And hath made of one blood, all nations of men to dwell on all the face of the earth; and hath determined the times before appointed and the bounds of their habitation.

Prov 15.3. The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

Jer. 31.35. Thus faith the Lord, which giveth the Sun for a Light by day, and the Ordinances of the Moon, and the Stars for a Light by night,

which divideth the Sea, when the waves thereof roar, the Lord of Hofts is his Name. Rom.11.33. O the depth of the riches of the wif dome and knowledge of God! how unfearche able are his judgements, and his waies paft finding out?

Jam.1.13. Let no man (ay when he is tempted, I am tempted of God, for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth be any man. V.14. But every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own luft and enticed.

CHAP. II.

Concerning Man.

Concerning Man we are to know and underftand these three things.

1. The happy Condition in which he was made

2. His Fall.

3. The way of his Recovery by Christ.

1. The Holy and happy eftate in which God created man at firft, Namely, after his own Image, in Knowledge, Holineffe, and Righteoufneffe, with Dominion over the Creatures here below, writing his Law on mans heart, requiring perfect obedience from him,and

giving him power to perform it, promifing the continuance of him in that happy eftate if he obeyed, and threatning him with death if he difobeyed, which is called the Covenant of works.

•Pfal.8.4. What is man that thou art mindful of him, and the Son of man that thou vifiteft him? V.5. For thou hast made him little lower than the Angels, and haft crowned him with Glory and Honour.

V.6. Thou madeft him to have dominion over the works of thy hands, thou hast put all things.under his feet.

Gen.1.26. And God faid, let us make man in our Image, after our likeneffe; and let them have dominion over the fish of the Sea; and over the fomle of the aire, and over the Cattle, and over all the earth, and over every Creeping thing that Creepeth upon the Earth.

V 27. So God Created man in his own Image, in the Image of God Created he him, male and female Created he them.

V.28. And God blessed them, and God faid unto them, be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and fubdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the Sea, and over the fowl of the aire, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Ecclef.7.29. Lo this only have I found, that God hath made man upright, but they have fought

Col.3.10. And have put on the new man which is renewed in knowledge, after the Image of him that Created him.

Rom. 10.5. For Mofes defcribeth the righteoufnele which is of the Law, that the man which doth thofe things fhall live by them.

Rom.2.14. For when the Gentiles which have not the Law do by nature the things contained in the Law, thefe having not the Law, are a Law unto themselves.

V.15. Which fhew the work of the Law written in their bearts, their confciences alfo bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accufing or elfe excufing one another.
