Christians, Beware!: The Dangers of Secular PsychologyTEACH Services, Inc., 2007 - 84 Several years ago, I happened to come across a sermon by a pastor who delineated several spiritual dangers inherent in the field of psychology. Initially, I was not happy about what I read in this sermon because the writer attacked most, if not all, that I had been taught as a psychologist. But, as the Holy Spirit worked on my heart and led me to further study this issue, I finally had to admit that there are many concepts in secular psychology that are in direct conflict with the Word of God. What an eye-opening experience this was for me! Dear reader, as you go through this book it is my prayer that you will allow your mind to be opened to the information that will be shared. It is my hope that we, as individuals, will learn that we can turn to God for help with every problem that comes our way. It is also my desire that, on a corporate level, we will realize that God's Word contains all that we need to have a flourishing, vibrant church. All things are possible with God! - Magna Parks, Ph.D. |

Strona 77 - Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Strona 1 - And the serpent said unto the woman, ye shall not surely die, for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof then your eyes shall be opened and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Strona 77 - Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth ; and having on the breast-plate of righteousness ; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace ; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God...
Strona 77 - And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints...
Strona 30 - So he drove out the man: and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Strona 53 - For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behooved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted (Hebrews 2:14-18).
Strona 66 - And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Strona 44 - Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice : and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Strona 64 - And all that believed were together, and had all things common, and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need ; and they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people.
Strona 66 - These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace, In the world ye shall have tribulation : but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
