COLLECT. ALMIGHTY God, we beseech Thee graciously to behold Thy servants who mourn and lament because of

all the abominations that are done in Thy House: and for all the shame that our Lord Jesus Christ doth suffer in the Sacrament of His love;

received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. LESSON. Isaiah xix. 4. THEN saith the Lord God: In that day shall the present be brought unto the Lord of hosts, and a fierce king shall rule over them. In that day shall there be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land, and the Lord shall be known, and they shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the Lord, and perform it. And they shall return even to the Lord, and He shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them. In that day shall Israel be ever a blessing in the midst of the land: whom

AT that time, Jesus sitting

over against the treasury, beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a

certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And He called unto Him His disciples, and saith unto them: Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury. For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
