CHANTS, adapted to the Psalter and Canticles as pointed to be sung in Churches. Price 18. 6d. (with a liberal allowance to Clergymen purchasing in quantities.) This Part contains forty-eight Chants, (the harmonies printed in full score with accompaniment,) arranged as follows:

1st. The Eight Gregorian Tones, with their several endings. 2nd. A variety of the same Tones, harmonized for four voices, but so as to preserve unaltered the original melodies. 3rd. A miscellaneous selection of Chants, some by old English Composers, but the greater part by Foreign Masters, now arranged for the first time from ancient MS. and printed Music.

MOTETT SOCIETY, INSTITUTED FOR THE

REVIVAL OF THE ANCIENT CHORAL MUSIC OF THE CHURCH.-Subscribers to the Music about to be printed by the Society are received at One Guinea per annum. The collection will consist of-1. Čomplete Services by English and Foreign Masters; 2. Miscellaneous Anthems; 3. Anthems and Motetts for the Festivals of the Church. The latter division of the work is intended to supply a desideratum which has long been felt, and will comprise a regular series of Anthems for the Festivals and Fasts of the Church, selected chiefly from Palestrina and other great Masters of that period.
