Brian McFarlane is Associate Professor in the English Department at Monash University, Australia.
 
Anthony Slide is an independent film scholar who has been active in the field since the late 1960s. He is the author of 75 books and the editor of 150 more. In the past, he has been associated with the American Film Institute and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He has been hailed by Lillian Gish as the "preeminent historian of the silent film."
