The Italians didn't come back for two days. Then they got theirbombing over in a hurry. They were Waiting for fighters that could keep off the Hurricanes. So it became quiet again.

Sometimes the Gladiators did some strafing of Italian positions and columns. The Italians were building a road atop the escarpment from Sidi Barrani to Mersa. It was long straight for twenty miles. Twice the Gladiators flew bumps up and down it, strafing the sap pers working on it. A few Were killed, but it didn't do anything more than delay the work.
