He was made MAN,
* Christ Jesus, being in the Form of God, and thinking it no Robbery to be equal with God, made himself of no Reputation, and took upon him the Form of a Servant, and was made in the likeness of Men, and was found in Fashion as a Man, being made of a Woman, in the likeness of finful Flesh.

He gave us a New COVENANT.
a The Law, and the Prophets were until John: Since that time the Kingdom of God is preached by Jesus Christ; who came to call Sinners to Repentance; to preach the Gospel of Peace ; and to bring glad tidings of good things.
b The Law was given by Moses, but Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ, which was a Prophet, mighty in Deed and Word, before God, and all the People: concerning whom Mofes truly said unto the Fathers; a Prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you, of your Brethren, like unto me, him shall ye hear, in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you : and it shall come to pass, that every Soul, which will: not hear that Prophet, Ihall be destroyed from among the People.
c Jesus Christ was a Minister of the Circumcifion, for the Truth of God, to confirm the Promises made unto the Fathers; and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his Mercy.

a The Priests that offered Gifts according to the Law, served unto the Example, and Shadow of heavenly things : But now hath Christ obtained a more excellent Mipistry; by how much also he is the Mediator of a better Covenant, which was established upon better Promises. For if that first Covenant had been faultless, then Thould no place have been sought for the second; and, by giving us a New Covenant, the Lord hath made the first Old.
b The first Covenant had also Ordinances of Divine Service, and a Worldly Sanctuary; in which were offered both Gifts, and Sacrifices, that could not make him that did the Service perfect, as pertaining to the Conscience; which ftood only in Meats and Drinks, and divers Washings, and carnal Ordinances, imposed on them, until the time of Reformation : But Christ, being come, an High-Priest of good things to come, is the Mediator of the New Testament; that, by the Redemption of the Transgressions that were under the first Testament, they which are called might receive the Promise of Eternal Inheritance.
c Christ hath blotted out the Hand-writing of Ordinances, that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way; so that we are no longer subject to Ordinances, which all are to perith with the using ; nor are we tied up, as the Jews were, in Meat, or in Drink, or in respect of a Holy-Day, or of the New-Moon, or of the Sabbath-Days; which were a Shadow of things to come; but the Body is of Christ.

a There is, verily, a disannulling of the Commandment, going before, for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. For, the Law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better Hope did.; by the which we draw. nigh unto God: For we are faved by Hope.
