ADVERTISEMENT. THE following Sermons are printed in consequence of the desire of several friends for the publication of some of their number. The places in which they were preached are added, because in some cases they contain remarks that might be less applicable elsewhere. They are printed almost exactly as they were first delivered, as they must otherwise have been entirely remodelled; and as the writer is conscious that many things are imperfectly explained, he begs to have that construction put on all which is most agreeable to the doctrine of the Holy Catholic Church in all ages, and in particular of that Branch of it, to which, through the mercy of God, he belongs.
