Ifrael for it is an heave-offering, and it fhall be an heave-offering from the children of Ifrael, of the facrifice of their peace-offerings, even their heave-offering unto the LORD.

29 And the holy garments of Aaron fhall be his fons after him, to be anointed therein, and to be confecrated in them.

30 And that fon that is prieft in his ftead fhall put them on feven days, when he cometh into the tabernacle of the congregation to minifter in the holy place.

31 And thou shalt take the ram the confecration, and feethe his flesh the holy place.

32 And Aaron and his fons fhall eat the Aeth of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

33 And they thall eat thofe things, wherewith the atonement was made, to confecrate and to fanctify them but a franger fhalt not eat thereof, because they are holy. 34 And if ought of the flesh of the confecrations, or of the bread remain unto the morning; then thou shalt burn the remainder with fire, it shall not be eaten, because it is holy.

35 And thus fhalt thou do unto Aaron, and to his fons, according to all things which I have commanded thee: feven days fhalt thou confecrate them.

36 And thou that offer every day a bullock for a fin offering, for attonement: and thou shalt cleanse the altar, when thou haft made an atonement for it, and thou fhalt anoint it to fanctify it.

37 Seven days thou fhalt make an atonement for the altar, and fanctifie it : and it fhall be an altar molt holy: whatfoever toucheth the altar fhallbe holy.

38 Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar; two lambs of the firft year, day by day continually.

39 The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning and the other lamb thou shalt offer at even

40 And with the one lamb a tenth-deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oyl: and the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink-offering.

41 And the other lamb thou fhalt offer at even, and fhalt do thereto according to the meat-offering of the morning, and according to the drink-offering thereof, for a fweet favour, an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

42 This shall be a continual burnt-offering throughout your generations, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, before the LORD; where I will meet you, to fpeak there unto thee.

43 And there I will meet with the children of Ifrael, and the tabernacle fhall be fanétified by my glory.

44 And will fanctifie the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I will fanctifie alto both Aaron and his fons, to minitter to me in the priests office

45 And I will dwell amongst the children of Ifrael, and will be their God,

46 And they fhall know that I am the LORD their God that brought them forth, out of the land of Egypt that I may dwell amongst them: I am the LORD their God. CHA P. XXX.

Nd thou fhalt make an altat to burn incenfe upon: of hittim-wood halt thou make it.

2 A cubit, shall be the length thereof, and a cubit & breadth thereof (four square hall it be)and two cubits shall be height thereof: the horns thereof shall be of the fame.

3 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, the top thereof, and the fides thereof round about, and the horns thereof; and thou shalt make unto it a crown of gold round about.

4 And two golden rings Ihalt thou make to it, under the crown of it, by the two corners thereof, upon the two fides of it fhalt thou make it and they shall be for places for the ftaves to bear it withal.

5 And thou fhalt make the ftaves of chittim wood, and overlay them with gold.

6 And thou fhalt put it before the vail, that is by the ark of the teftimony; before the mercy-leat, that is over the teltimony, where I will meet with thee,

7 And Aaron fhall burn thereon fweet incenfe every morning when he dreffeth the lamps, he fhall burn incenfe upon it.

8 And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he fhall burn incenfe upon it; a perpetual incenfebefore the LORD, throngout your generations.

9 Ye fhall offer no strange incenfe thereon, nor burnt-facrifice, nor meat-offering, neither fhall ye pour drink-offering thereon.

And Aaron fhall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year, with the blood of the fin-offering of atonements: once in the year fhall be make a tonement upon it, throughout your gene rations: it is molt holy unto the LORD.

And the LORD spake unto Moses,

12 When thou takeft the fum of the children of Itrael, after their number: then fhall they give every man a ransom for his foul unto the LORD, when thou numbereft them that there be no plague amongst them, when thou numbreft them.

13 This they fhall give, every one that paffeth among them that are numbred, half a fhekel after the thekel of the fanc tuary, (a fhekel is twenty gerahs) an half thekel sball be the offering of the LORD.

14 Every one y paffeth among them that are numbred from twenty years old and above,fhall give an offering unto the LORD.

15 The rich fhall not give more, and the poor fhall not give less than half a fhekel, when they give an offering unte the LORD, to make an atonement for your fouls.

16 And thou shalt take the atonementmoney of the children of Ifrael, and fhalt appoint

appoint it for the fervice of the tabernacle of the congregation; that it may be a memorial unto the children of Ifrael before the LORD, to make an atonement for your fouls.

17 And the LORD spake unto Mofes, faying

18 Thou shalt alfo make a laver of brafs, and his foot alfo of brafs, to wash withal, and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou fhalt put water threin.

19 For Aaron and his fons fhall wash their hands, and their feet there at.

20 When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they fhall wash with water, that they die not: or when they come near to the altar to minifter, to burn an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

21 So they fhall wash their hands, and their feet that they die not: and it thall be a Satute for ever to them, even to him, and to his feed throughout their generations. 22 Moreover, the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying,

23 Take thou alfo unto thee, principal fpices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of fweet cinamon half to much, even two hundred & fifty shekels, and of fweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels.

24 And of caflia five hundred shekels, after the shekel of the fanctuary, and of oyl-olive an hin.

25 And thou shalt make it an oyl of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oyl.

26 And thou fhalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony.

27 And the table and all his veffels, and the candelftick and his veffels, and the altar of incenfe,

18 And the altar of burnt-offering with all his vessels. and the laver and his foot. 29 And thou fhalt fanctifie them, that they may be most holy: what foever touch eth them, fhall be holy.

30 And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his fons. and confecrate them, that they may minifter unto me in the priests office.

34 Upon mans flefh fhall it not be poured, neither thall ye make any other like it, after the compofition of it: it is holy and it fhall be holy unto you.

33 Whofoever compoundeth any like it, or whofoever putteth any of it upon a ftranger, fhall even be cut off from his people.

34 And the LORD faid unto Mores, Take unto thee fweet fpices, ftacte, and onycha, and galbanum thefe fweet fpices, with pure frankincenfe, of each fhall there be a like weight.

35 And thou fhalt make it a perfume, a confection after the art of the apothecary, tempered together, pure and holy.

36 And thou fhalt beat Some of it very fmall, and put of it before the teftimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with thee: it fhall be unto you most holy.

37 And as for the perfume which thou fhalt make, you fhall not make to your felves according to the composition thereof: it fhall be unto thee holy for the LORD.

38 Whofbever fhall make like unto that, to fmell thereto, fhall even be cut off from his people.

& CHA P. XXXI. Bezaleel and Aboliabare calledfor the work of the tabernacle. 12 of the fabbath. 18 Mafes receiveth the two tables.

the LORD spake unto Mofes, fay

ing.

2 See, I have called by name, Bezaleel the fon of Uri, the fon of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:

3 And I have filled him with the fpirit of God in wifdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.

4. To devife cunning works, to work in gold and in filver, and in brass,

5, And in cutting of ftones to fet them, and in carving of timber to work in all manner of workmanship.

6 And 1, behold, I have given with him Aholiab the fon of Ahifamach of the tribe of Dan; and in the hearts of all that are wife hearted I have put wifdom; that they may make all that I have commanded thee.

7 The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the teftimony, and the mercy feat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle :

8 And the table and his furniture, and the pure candlestick with all his furniture and the altar of incenfe,

9 And the altarof burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot:

10 And the clothes of fervice, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his fons, to minifter in the priests office:

11 Andthe anointing oyl, and fweet inenfe for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded thee, fhall they do. 12 And the LORD spake uno Mofes, faying.

13 Speak thon alfo unto the children of Ifrael, laying, Verily my fabbaths ye fhall keep: for it is a fign between me and you, throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD, that doth fanctify you.

14 Ye fhall keep the fabbath therefore : for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it, fhall furely be put to death: for whofoever doth any work therein, that foul fhall be cut off from amongst his people.

15 Six days may work be done, but in the feventh is the fabbath of reft, holy to the LORD: whosoever doth any work in the fabbath-day, he thali furely be put to death.

16 Wherefore the children of Ifrael fhall keep the fabbath to obferve the fabbath through

17 It is a fign between me and the children of Ifrael tor ever: for in fix days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the feventh day he relted, and was refremhed. 18 And he gave unto Mofes, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of teftimony, tables of tone, written with the finger of God.

CHAP. XXXII. The people caufe Aaron to make a calf. 19 Mofes breaketh the tables, 25 The idolaters slain. 30 Mofes prayetb.

Nd when the people faw that Mofes delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered them felves together unto Aaron, and faid unto him, Up, make as gods which fhall go before us, for as for this Mofes, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

2 And Aaron faid unto them, Break off the golden ear-rings which are in the ears of your wives, of your fons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.

3 And all the people brake off the golden ear-rings, which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.

4 And he received them at their hand, and fafhioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they faid, Thefe be thy Gods, O Ifrael, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

5 And when Aaron faw it, he built an altar before it, and Aaron made proclamation, and faid, To morrow is a feaft to the Lord. 6 And they rofe up early on the morrow, and offered burnt-offerings, and brought peace-offerings: and the people fat down to eat and to drink, and rofe up to play.

7 And the LORD faid unto Mofes Go, get thee down for thy people which thou broughteft out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves.

8 They have turned afide quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have facrificed thereunto, and faid, Thele be thy Gods,O Ifrael which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

9 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, I have feen this people, and behold, it is a stiffnecked people.

10 Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may confume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.

The tables broken.

13 Remember Abraham, Ifaac, and Ifrael thy fervants, to whom thou fwareft by thine own felf, and faidft unto them, I will multiply your feed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have fpoken of, will give nnto your feed, and they shall inherit it for ever.

14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought do unto his people.

15 And Mofes turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the teftimony were in his hand ; the tables weyewritten on both their fides; on the one fide and one the other were they written.

16 And the tables were the work of God, and the writting was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.

17 And when Joshua heard the noife of the people as they shouted, he faid unto Mofes, There is a noife of war in the ca mp.

18 And he faid, It is not the voice of them that fhout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noife of them that ling, do I hear.

19 And it came to pafs affoon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he faw the calf, and the dancing; and Mofes anger waxed hot, and he caft the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.

20 And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, & ground it to powder, and ftrawed it upon the water, and made the children of Ifrael drink of it.

21 And Mofes faid unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou haft brought fo great a fin upon them?

22 And Aaron faid, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot thou knowest the people that they are Set on mischief.

23 For they faid unto me, Make us gods, which fhall go before us: for as for this Mofes, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

24 And I faid unto them, Who foever hath any gold, let them break it off: So they gave it me: then I caft it into the fire, and there came out this calf. 25 And when Mofes faw y the people were naked ( for Aaron had made them naked unto their fhame, amongit their enemies.)

25 Then Mofes ftood in the gate of the camp, and faid, Who is on the Lords fide? let bim come unto me. And all the fons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.

27 And he faid unto them, Thus faith the LORD God of Ifrael, put every man his fword by his fide, and go in and out from 11 And Mofes beforght the LORD his gate to gate throughout the camp, and flay Go,and faid. LORD, why doth thy wrath every man his brother, and every man his wax hot against thy people, which thou baft companion, and every nian his neighbour. brought forth out of the land of Egypt, 28 And the children of Levi did accordwith great power, and with a mighty handing to the word of Motes: and there fell 12Wherefore fhould Egyptians fpeak of the people that day about three thouand fay, For mifchief did he bring them fand men. Out, to lay them in the mountains, and to confine them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath and repent of this evil againit thy people.

29 For Mofes had faid Confecrate your felves to day to the LORD, even every man upon his fon, and upon his brother, that he may beltow upon you a blefling this day,

Chap. xxxili, xxxiv.

30 And it came to pafs on the morrow, that Mofes faid unto the people, Ye have finned a great fin: and now I will go up unto the LORD: peradventure I fhall make an attonement for your lin.

31 And Mofes returned unto the Lord, & faid, Oh this people have finned a great fin, and have made them gods of gold.

32 Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their fin and if not blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou haft written.

33 And the LORD faid unto Mofes Whofoever hath finned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

34, Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have fpoken unto thee: Benold, mine angel fhall go before thee: Nevertheless, in the day when I vifit, I will vifit their fin upon them.

35 And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.

CHAP. XXXIII.
I The Lord refufeth to go with the people.
The Lord talketh with Mofes. 18 His defire
to fee the glory of God.

Nd the LORD faid unto Mofes, Depart

which thou haft brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I fware unto Abraham, to Ifaac, and to Jacob, faying, Unto thy feed will I give it.

2 And I will fend an angel before thee: and 1 will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:

3 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midtt of thee for thou art a ftiff-necked people: left I confume thee in the way.

4 ¶ And when the people heard thefe evil tydings, they mourned; and no man did put on him his ornaments.

5 For the LORD had faid unto Mofes, Say unto the children of Ifrael, Ye are a ftiff-necked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and confume thee: therefore now put off thy or naments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.

6 And the children of Ifrael ftript themfelves of their ornaments, by the mount Horeb.

7 And Mofes took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from

1 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes face to face, as a man fpeaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his fervant Joshua, the fon of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

12 And Mofes faid unto the LORD, See, thou fayeft unto me, Bring up, this people; and thou haft not let me know whom thou wilt fend with me. Yet thou haft faid, I know thee by name, and thou haft alfo found grace in my fight.

13 Now therefore, I pray thee, ifl have found grace in thy fight, thew me now the way that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy fight and confider that this! nation is thy people.

14 And he faid, My prefence fhall go with thee, and I will give thee reft.

15 And he faid unto him, it thy prefence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

16 For wherein thall it be known here, that I and thy people have found grace in thy fight? Is it not in that thou goeft with us? So fhall we be feparated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon

the face of the earth.

17 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, I will do this thing alfo that thou haft fpoken, for thou hast found grace in my fight, and I know thee by name.

18 And he faid, I beseech thee, fhew me thy glory.

19 And he faid, I will make all my goodnel's pals before thee, and I will proclame the Name of the LORD before thee: and will be gracions to whom I will be gracious, and will fhew mercy on whom I will fhew mercy.

20 And he faid, Thou canst not see my face: For there fhall no man fee me, & live. 21 And the LORD faid, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock.

22 And it fhall come to pafs, while my glory paffeth by, that I will put thee in a Clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand, while I pass by.

23 And 1 will take away mine hand, and thou shalt fee my back-parts: but my face thall not be feen.

CHAP. XXXIV. 1 The tables are renewed. 8 Mofes entreateth God to go with them.

congregation: And it came to that every one which fought the LORD, went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.

8 And it came to pafs, when Mofes went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rofe up, and flood every man at his tentdoor, and looked after Mofes, until he was gone into the tabernacle.

the two tables of ftone like unto firt and I will write upon thefe tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakeft.

2 And be ready in the morning and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and prefent thy felf there to me, in the top of the mount.

3 And no man fhall come up with thee, neither let any man be feen throughout all the mount; reither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount

5 And the LORD defcended in the cloud, and flood with him there, and proclaimed the Name of the LORD.

6 And the LORD paffed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, long-fuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, 7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and tranfgreffion and un, and that will by no means clear the guilty, vifiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the childrens children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. 8 And Mofes made hafte, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

9 And he faid, Ifnow I have found grace in thy fight, O LORD, let my lord, I pray thee, go amongst us (for it is a ftiff necked people) and pardon our iniquity, and our fin, and take us for thine inheritance.

10 q And he faid, Behold, I make a covenant before all thy people I will do marvels, fuch as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation and all the people amongt which thou art, fhall fee the work of the LORD; for it is a tergible thing that I will do with thee.

II Obferve thou that which I command thee this day: Behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

12 Take heed to thy felf, left thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goeft, left it be for a inare in the midit of thee.

13 But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves. 14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whofe name is Jealous, is a Jealous God:

15 Left thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do facrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his facrifice.

16 And thou take of their daughters unto thy fons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy fons go a whoring after their gods.

17 Thou shalt make thee no molten gods. 189 The feast of unleavened bread halt thou keep Seven days fhalt thou eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camelt out from Egypt.

19 All that openeth the matrix is mine: and every firitling among thy cattle; whether ox or fheep, that is male.

Mofes face shineth.

22 And thou shalt obferve the feast of weeks, of the firit-fruits of wheat-hatzelt, and y feaft of in-gathering at years end.

23 Thrice in the year fhall all your men children appear before the LORD God, the God of Ifrael.

24 For I will caft out the nations *efore thee. and enlarge thy borders: neither fhall any man defire thy land, when thou fhalt go up to appear before the LORD thy God, thrice in the year.

25 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my facrifice with leaven, neither fhall the facrifice of the feaft of paffover be left unto the morning.

26 The firit of the first- fruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the houfe of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not feethe a kid in his mothers milk.

27 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenat with thee and with Ifrael.

28 And he was there with the LORD fourty days and fourty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water and he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

29And it came to pafs when Mofes came down from mount Sinai (with the two tables of teltimony, in Mofes hand, when he came down from the mount that Mofes wilt not that the skin of his face fhone, while he talked with him.

30 And when Aaron and all the children of Ifrael (aw Mofes, behold, the skin of his fate fhone, and they were afraid to come nigh him.

༣༥ And Mofes called unto them: and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Mofes talked with them.

32. And afterward all the children of Ifrael came nigh; and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had fpoken with him in mount Sinai.

33 And till Mofes had done fpeaking with them, he put a vail on his face.

34 But when Moles went in before the LORD to fpeak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out And he came out and fpake unto the children of Ifrael,' that which he was commanded.

35and the children of Ifrael faw the face of Mofes, that the skin of Mofes face fhone and Mofes put vail upon his face again until he went in to fpeak with him. CHAP. XXXV. 1 The fabbatb. 4 The free gifts for the tabernacle. 10 The readiness of the people to offer.

redeem with a lanib and if thou redeem him not, then fhalt thou break his neck. All the first-born of thy fons thou halt redeem; and none fhall appear before me empty.

21 Six days thou shalt work, but on the feventh day thou (halt rcft: in earingtime, and in harvest thou shalt reft.

Nd Moles gathered all the congregation of the children of Ifrael together, and faid unto them, These are the words which the LORD hath commanded, that ye fhould do them.

2 Six days fhall work be done, but on the feventh day there fhall be to you an holy day, a fabbath of rett to the LORD: whofoever doth work therein, fhall be put to death.
