The fabbath.

Chap. xxxvi. 3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the fabbath-day.

4 ¶ And Mofes fpake unto all the congregation of the children of Ifrael, faying. This is the thing which the LORD cominanded, faying,

5 Take ye from amongst you an offering unto the LORD: Whofoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD, gold, and filver, and brafs,

6 And blue, and purple, and fcarlet, and fine linen, and goats bair.

7 And rams skins died red, and badgersskins and fhittim-wood,

8 And oyl for the light, and fpices for anointing oyl, and for the fweet incenfe. 9 And onyx-ftones, and ftones to be fet for the ephod, and for the breaft-plate.

10 And every wife hearted among you, thall come and make all that the LORD bath commanded &

II The tabernacle, his tent, and his covering, his taches, and his boards, his bars, his pillars, and his fockets.

12 The ark, and the faves thereof, with the mercy feat, and vail of the covering, 13 The table and his ftaves, and all his vellels, and the thew-bread,

14 The candlestick alio for the light, and his furniture, and his lamps, with the oyl for the light,

15 And the incenfe altar, and his ftaves, and the anointing oyl, and the fweet incenfe, and the hanging for the door at the entring in of the tabernacle.

16 The altar of burnt-offering with his brafen-grate, his ftaves, and all his veffels, the laver and his foot,

17 The hangings of the court,hispillars, and their fockets, and the hanging for the door of the court,

18 The pins of the tabernacle, and the pins of the court, aud their cords,

in the holy place, the holy garments for 19 The clothes of fervice, to do fervice Aaron the priest, and the garments of his fons to minifter in the priefts office.

20 And all the congregation of the children of Ifrael departed from the prefence of Mofes.

The people offer. 25 And all the women that were wifehearted, did fpin with their hands, and brought that which they had fpun, both of blue, and of purple, and of fcarlet, and of fine linen.

26 And all the women whofe heart ftirred them up in wifdom, fpun goats-bair.

27 And the rulers brought onyx-ftones, and stones to be fet for the ephod, and for the brealt-plate:

28 And fpice, and oyl for the light, and for the anointing oyl, and for f (weet incenfe.

29 The children of Ifrael brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman whole heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made, by the hand of Mofes.

30 And Moles faid unto the children of Ifrael, See the LORD hath called by name Bezaleel the fon of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

31 And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of work manfhip:

32 And to devife curious works, to work in gold, and in filver, and in brafs.

33 And in the cutting of ftones to fet them, and in carving of wood to make any manner of cunning work.

34 And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he and Aholiab the fon of Ahifamach of the tribe of Dan.

35 Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in fcarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of thofe that devife cunning work.

CHAP. XXXVI. 1The offerings are delivered to the workmen. 5 The liberality of the people is refrained.

and every wife-hearted man in whom Hen wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab the I.ORD put wifdom and understanding, to know how to work all manner of work for the fervice of the fanctuary, according to all that the LORD had commanded.

21 And they came every one whofe heart 2 And Mofes called Bezaleel and Aheftirred him up, and every one whom his liab, and every wife-hearted man, in whofe Spirit made willing, and they brought the heart the LORD had put wisdom, even eveLORDS offering to the work of the taber--ry one whofe heart stirred him up to come nacle of the congregation. and for all his unto the work to do it. fervice, and for the boly garments.

23 And every man with whom was found blue, and purple, and fcarlet, and fine linen, and goats hair, and red skins of rams, and badgers-skins, brought them,

24 Every one that did offer an offering of filver and brafs, brought the LORDS offering; and every man with whom was found fhittim-wood for any work of the fervice, brought it.

3 And they received of Mofes all offering which $ children of Ifrael had brought, for the work of the fervice of the fanctuary to make it witbal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning.

4 And all the wife men that wrought all the work of the fanctuary, came every man from his work which they made.

59 And they spake unto Mofes, faying, The people bring much more than enough for the fervice of the work, which the LORD commanded to make.

6 And Moles gave commandment, and they caufed it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, faying, Let neither man nor women make any more work for the offer

For the ftuff they had was fufficient for all the work to make it, and too much. 8 And every wife-hearted man, among themy wrought the work of the tabernacle, made ten curtains of fine twined linnen, and blue, and purple, and fcarlet with cherubims of cunning work made he them.

9 The length of one curtain was twenty and eight cubits; and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: the curtains were all of une fize.

To And he coupled the five curtains one unto another and the other five curtains he coupled one unto another.

II And he made loops of blue on the edge of one curtain from the felvedge in the coupling; likewife he made in the uttermoft fide of another curtain, in the coupling of the fecond.

12 Fifty loops made he in one curtain, & fifty loops made he in the edge of the curtain which was in the coupling of fecond: the loops held one curtain to another.

13 And he made fifty taches of gold, and coupled the curtains one unto another with the taches. So it became one tabernacle. 14. And he made curtains of goats bair, for the tent over the tabernacle: eleven curtains he made them.

15 The length of one curtain was thirty cubits, and four cubits was the breadth of one curtain the eleven curtains were of one fize.

16 And he coupled five curtains by then felves, and fix curtains by themselves.

17 And he made fiity loops upon uttermoft edge of the curtain in the coupling, and fifty loops made he upon the edge of the curtain, which coupleth the fecond.

18 And he made fifty taches of brafs to couple the tent together, y it might be one. 19 And he made a covering for the tent, of rams-skins died red, and a covering of badgers skins above that.

10q And he made boards for the taber nacle, of hittim-wood, ftanding up.

21 The length of a board was ten cubits, and the breadth of a board one cubit and a half.

22 One board had two tenons, equally diftant one from another: thus did he make for all the boards of the tabernacle. 23 And he made boards for the tabernacle twenty boards for the fouth-fide, fouthward.

24 And fourty fockets of filver he made under the twenty boards: two fockets and under one board for his two tenons, two fockets under another board for his two tenons.

25 And for the other side of the tabernacle which is toward the north-corner, he made twenty boards.

26 And their fourty fockets of filver: wo fockets under one board, and two fockets under another board.

17 And for the fides of the tabernacle weftward, he made fix boards,

18 And two boards made he for the corners of the tabernacle in the two fides,

29 And they were coupled beneath, and Coupled together at the head thereof, to one ring: thus he did to both of them in

both the corners.

30 And there were eight boards, and their fockets were fixteen fockets of filver, under every board two fockets.

31 And he made bars of hittimwood five for the boards of the one fide of the tabernacle.

32 And five bars for the boards of the other fide of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle for the fides welt-ward.

33 And he made the middle bar to shoot through the boards from the one end to the other.

34 And he overlaid the boards with gold, and made theirrings of gold to be places for the bars and overlaid the bars w gold.

35 And he made a vail of blue, and purple and fearlet, and fine twined linnen with cherubims made he it of cunning work.

36 And he made thereunto four pillars of hittim wood, and overlaid them gold: their hooks were of gold, and he caft for them four fockets of filver.

379 And he made an hanging for the tabernacle door, of blue, and purple, and icarlet, and fine twined linnen, of needlework.

38 And the five pillars of it with their hooks: and he overlaid their chapiters, and their fillets with gold but their five fockets were of brass.

A wood two cubits and an halt was the length of it, and a cubit and an half the breadth of ir, and a cubit and an half the height of it.

2 And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.

3. And he caft for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it: two rings upon the one fide of it, and two rings upon the other fide of it.

4 And he made ftaves of 1hittim. wood, and overlaid them with gold.

5 And he put the flaves into the rings, by the fides of the ark, to bear the ark.

69 And he made the mercy feat of pure gold two cubits and an half was the length thereof, and one cubit and an half the breadth thereof.

7 And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one peice made he them, on the two ends of the mercy-feat:

8 One cherub on the end on this fide, and another cherub on the other end on that fide out of the mercy-feat made he the cherubims on the two ends thereof.

9 And the cherubims ipread out their wings on high, and covered w their wings over the mercy feat, with their faces one to another even to the mercy-feat- ward were the faces of the cherubims. 10 q And

Chap. xxxviii TO And he made the table of fhittimwood: two cubits was the length thereof, 1 and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

12 Alfo he made thereunto a border of an hand-breadth, round about and made a crown of gold for the border thereof round about.

13 And he caft for it four rings of gold, and put the rings upon the four corners that were in the four feet thereof.

14 Over against the border were rings, the places for the ftaves, to bear the table. 15 And he made the ftaves of hittinwood, and overlaid them with gold, to bear the table.

16 And he made the veffels, which were upon the table, his dishes, and his fpoons, and his bowls, and his covers to cover withal, of pure gold.

17 And he made the candlestick of pure gold of beaten work made he the candlestick, his shaft and his branch, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers were of the fame.

18 And fix branches going out of the fides thereof three branches of the candlestick out of the one fide thereof, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other fide thereot.

19 Three bowls made after the fashion of almonds, in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three bowls made like almonds, in another branch, a knop and a flower fo throughout the fix branches, going out of the candlestick.

20 And in the candlestick were four bowls made like almonds, his knops and his flowers.

21 And a knop under two branches of the fame, and a knop under two branches of the fame, and a knop under two branches of the fame, according to the fix branches going out of it.

22 Their knops and their branches were of thefame; all of it was one beaten work of pure gold.

22 And he made his feven lamps, and his fnuffers, and his fouff-difhes of pure gold. 24 Of a talent of pure gold måde he it, and all the veffels thereof.

25 And he made the incenfe altar of fhittim-wood: the length of it was a cubit, and the breadth of it a cubit, (it was fourfquare) and two cubits was the height of it; the horns thereof were of the fame.

26 And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it, and the fides thereof round about, and the horns of it: alfo he made unto it a crown of gold round about.

27 And he made two rings of gold for it under the crown thereof, by the two corners of it, upon the two fides thereof, to be places for the ftaves to bear it withal. 28 And he made the ftaves of fhittimwood, and overlaid them with gold.

29 ¶ And he made the holy anointing oyl, and the pure incenfe of fweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.

25 And the liver of them that were Dumbered of the congregation, as an hundred talents, and a thousand feven hundred and threefcore and filteen hekels, after the thekel of the fanctuary.

26 A bekah for every man, that is, half a fhekel, after the fhekel of the fanctuary, for every one that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for fix hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty men.,

27 And of the hundred talents of filver, were caft the fockets of the fanctuary, and the fockets of the vail; an hundred fockets of the hundred talents,a talent for a focket. 28 And of the thousand feven handred feventy and five hekels, he made hooks for the pillars, and overlaid their chapiters, and filleted them.

29 And the brafs of the offering was feventy talents, and two thousand and four hundred fhekels.

30 And therewith he made the fockets to the door of the tabernacle of the tongregation; and the brafen altar, and the brafen grate for it and all the vellels of the altar.

31 And the fockets of the court round about, and the fockets of the court-gate, and all the pins of the tabernacle, and all the pins of the court round about.

CHAP. XXXIX.

Nd of the blue, and purple and fearlet, they made clothes of fervice, to do fervice in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron, as the LORD commanded Mofes,

6 And they wrought onyx-ftones inclofed in ouches of gold, graven as fignets are graven, with the names of the children or frael.

7 And he put them on the shoulders of the ephod, that they fhould be ftones for a memorial to the children of Ifrael; as the LORD commanded Moles.

8 And he made the breaft-plate of cunning work, like the work of the ephod, of gold, blue, and purple, and fcarlet, and fine twined linen.

9 It was four square, they made the breaft-plate double a fpan was the length thereof, and a fpan the breadth thereof, being doubled.

to And they fat in it four rows of ftores: the first row was a fardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this was the first row.

And the fecord row, an emerald, á fapphire, and a diamond. 12 And the third row, a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.

And the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a Jafper: they were inciofed in ouches of gold in their inclotings.

14 And the ftones were according to the names of the children of Ifrael, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a tignet, every one with his name, according to the twelve tribes.

15 And they made upon the breaft-pláte chains, at the ends, of wreathen work of pure gold.

6 And they made two ouches of gold, and two gold rings and put the two rings in the two ends of the breaft plate.

17 And they put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings on the ends of the breaft-plate.

18 And the two ends of the two wreathen chains, they faftened in the two ouches, and put them on the fhoulder-pieces of the ephod, before it.

19 And they made two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breast. plate upon the border of it, which was on the fide of the ephod inward.

zo And they made two other golden rings, and put them on the two fides of the ephod underneath, toward the fore part of it, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.

21 And they did bind the breaft-plate by his rings unto the rings of the ephod, with a lace of blue, that it might be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breaft-plate might not be loofed from the ephod; as the LORD commanded Mofes.

2. And he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue.

23 And there was a hole in the midft of the robe, as the hole of an habergeon,

14 And they made upon the hems of the robe, pomegranates of blue, and purple, and fearlet, and twined linen.

25 And they made bells of pure gold, & put the bells between the pomegranates, upon the hem of the robe, round about between the pomegranates.

26 A bell and a pomegranate, a hell and a pomegranate round about the hem of the robe to minifter in; as the LORD commanded Mofes.

27 And they made coats of fine linen, of woven work, for Aaron and for his fons. 28 And a miter of fine linen, and goodly bonnets of fine linen, and linen breeches of fine twined linen.

29 And a girdle of fine twined linen, & blue, and purple, and fcarlet, of needlework; as the LORD commanded Mofes.

301 And they made the plate of the holy crown, of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like to the engravings of a fignet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

31 And they tied unto it a lace of blue, to falten it on high upon the miter; as the LORD commanded Moles.

32 Thus was all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation finithed; and the children of Ifrael did according to all that the LORD commanded Mofes, fo did they.

33.1 And they brought the tabernacle unto Mofes, the tent, and all his furniture, his taches, his boards, his bars, and his pillars, and his fockets,

34 And the covering of rams-skins died red, and the covering of badgers-skins, and the vail of the covering.

35 The ark of the teftimony, and the ftaves thereof, and the mercy-feat,

36 The table, and all the vellels thereof, and the thew-bread,

37 The pure candieftick, with the lamps thereof, even with the lamps to be fet in order, and all the veffels thereof, and the oyl for light.

38 And the golden altar, and the anointing oyl, and the fweet incenfe, and the hanging for the tabernacle door,

39 The brafen altar, and his grate of brafs, his ftaves, and all his veffels, the laver and his foot,

40 The hangings of the court, his pillars, and his fockets, and the hanging for the court-gate, his cords, and his pins, and all the veffels of the fervice of the tabernacle, for the tent of the congregation,

41 The clothes of fervice to do fervice in the holy place, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and his fons garments to minifter in the priests office.

42 According to all that the LORD commanded Mofes, fo the children of Ifrael made all the work.

43 And mofes did look upon all the work, and behold, they had done it as the LORD had commanded, even fo had they done it and Mofes bieffed them,

The tabernacle reared. CHAP. XL.

I The tabernacle is commanded to be reared, 9 and anointed. 13 Aaron and bis fons to be fandified.

2 On the first day of the first month, fhalt thou fet up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation: 3. And thou ihalt put therein the ark of the testimony, and cover the ark with the vail. 4 And thou shalt bring in the table, & fet in order the things that are to be let in or der upon it, and thou shalt bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.

5 And thou fhalt fet the altar of gold for the incenfe, before the ark of the teftimony, and put the hanging of the door to the tabernacle.

6 And thou fhalt fet the altar of the burnt-offering, before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.

7 And thou fhalt fet the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and fhalt put water therein.

8 And thou shalt fet up the court round about, and hang up the hanging at the court gate.

9 And thou fhalt take the anointing oyl, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is therein, and fhalt hallow it, and all the veffels thereof and it fhall be holy.

to And thou shalt anoint the altar of the burnt-offering, and all his veffels, and fanctifie the altar and it fhall be an altar molt holy.

And thou shalt anoint the laver and his foot, and fan&tifie it.

12 And thou thalt bring Aaron and his fons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water. 13 And thou fha't put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and fanctifie him that he may minifter unto me in the priests office.

14 And thou shalt bring his fons, and clothe them with coats.

15 And thou halt anoint them, as thou didit anoint their father, that they may minifter unto me in the priests office : for their anointing fhall furely be an everlaiting priesthood, throughout their generations.

16 Thus did Mofes according to all the LORD commanded him fo did he,

17 And it came to pafs, in the firft month in the fecond year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up.

18 And Moles reared up the tabernacle, and faftned his fockets, and let up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars,

19 And he fpread abroad the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as the LORD commanded Mofes,

20 And he took and put the teftimony into the ark, and fet the ftaves on the ark, and put the mercy-feat above upon the ark.

21 And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and fet up the vail of the cover
