Laws for divers offerings.

Chap. viii. 11 And this is the law of the facrifice of peace-offerings, which he thall offer unto the LORD.

12 If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then he thall offer with the facrifice of thankf. giving unleavened cakes mingled with oyl, and unleavened wafers anointed with oyl, and cakes mingled with oyl of fine flour fried.

13 Befides the cakes he fhall offer for his offering leavened bread, with the facrifice of thanksgiving of his peace-offerings. 14 And of it ne hall cffer one out of the whole oblation for an heave offering unto the LORD, and it fhall be the priests that 1prinkleth the blood of y peace-offerings. 15 And the flesh of the facrifice of his peace-offerings for thanksgiving, fhail be eaten the fame day that it is offered; he fhall not leave any of it until the morning. 16 But if the facrifice of his cffering be a vow, or a voluntary offering, it fhall be eaten the fame day that he offereth his facrifice and on the morrow alfo the remainder of it fhall be eaten,

17 But the remainder of the flesh of the facrifice on the third day thall be burnt with fire.

18 And if any of the flesh of the facrifice of his peace-offering be eaten at all on the third day, it thall not be accpted, neither fhall it be imputed unto him that offereth it: it shall be an abomination, and the foul that eateth of it fhall bear his iniquity.

19 And the flesh that toucheth any unclean thing, thall not be eaten it fhall be burnt with fire and as for the ficth all that be clean fhall eat thereof.

20 But the foul that eateth of the flesh of the facrifice of peace-offerings, that per tain unto the LORD, having his uncleannefs upon him, even that foul fhall be cut off from his people.

21

Moreover, the foul that shall touch any unclean thing, as the uncleannefs of man, or any unclean beaft, or any abominable unclean thing, and eat of the flesh of the facrifice of peace-offerings which pertain unto the LORD, even that foul shall be cut off from his people.

Aaron and bis fons confecrated. 29Speak unto the children of Ifrael,faying, He that offereth the facrifice of Fis peace offerings unto the LORD, shall bring his oblation unto the LORD, of the facri fice of his peace-offerings.

30 His own hands shal! bring the offerings of the LORD made by fire, the tat with the breaft, it shall he bring, that the breaft may be waved for a wave-offering betore the LORD.

31 And the priest fhall burn the fat upon the altar: but the breait shall be Aarons and his fons.

32 And the right fhoulder shall ye give unto the prieft for an heave-offering of the facrifices of your peace-offerings.

33 He among the fons of Aaron that offereth the blood of the peace-offerings, and the fat, fhall have the right shoulder for bis part.

34 For the wave-breaft, and the heaveshoulder have I taken of the children of Ifrael, from off the facrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest, and unto his fons, by a ftatute for ever, from among the children of Ifract

35 This is the portion of the anointing of Aaron, and of the anointing of his fons out of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day when he prefented them to minifter unto the LORD in the pricfts office.

36 Which the LORD commanded to be given them of the children of Ifrael, in the day that he anointed them, by a ftatute for ever, throughout their generations.

37 This is the law of the burnt-offering, of the meat-off:ring, and of the fin-offering, and of the trefpals-offering, and of the confecrations, and of the facrifice of the peace-offerings:

38 Which the LORD commanded Mofes in mount Sinai, in the day that he commanded the children of Ifrael to offer their oblations unto the LORD, in the wildernefs of Sinai.

32 And the LORD spake unto Mofes, ANd the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faye

faying,

23 Speak unto the children of Ifrael, faying, Ye shall eat no manner of fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat.

24 And the fat of the beaft that dieth of it felf, and the fat of that which is torn with beafts, may be used in any other ufe: but ye shall in no wife eat of it.

25 For whofoever eateth the fat of the beat, of which men offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, even the foul that eateth it, shall be cut off from his people. 16 Moreover, ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beaft, in any of your dwellings.

27 Whatfoever foul it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that foul shall be cut off from his people.

28 And the LORD Spake unto Mofes, faying

ing.

2 Take Aaron and his fons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oyl, and a bullock for the fin offering, and two rams and a basket of unleavened bread.

3 And gather thou all the congregation together nnto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

4 And Mofes did as the LORD com manded him, and the affembly was gather ed together unto the door of the taber nacle of the congregation.

5 And Mofes laid unto the congregation, This is the thing which the LORD commanded to be done.

6 And Mofes brought Aaron and his fons and washed them with water.

7. And he put upon him the coat, and girded him with the girdle, aud cloathed DS 0120

him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him, and he girded him with the curious girdle of the ephod, and bound it unto him therewith.

8 And he put the breaft-plate upon him: allo he put in the breaft-plate the Urim

and Thummim.

And he put the miter upon his head; alfo upon the miter,even upon his forefront did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Mofes. YO And Mofes took the anointing oyl; and anointed the tabernacle, and all that was therein, and fanctified then

IT And he fprinkled thereof upon the altar feven times, and anointed the altar, and all his veffets, both the lave: and his Toot, to fan&tifie them.

12 And he poured of the anointing-oyl upon Aarons head, and anointed him to Tanctifie him.

13 And Moles brought Aarons fons, and put coats upon them, and girded them with girdles aud put bonnets upon them, as the LORD commanded Mofes.

14 And he brought the bullock for the fin-offering and Aaron and his fons laid their hands upon the head of the bullock Bor the lin-offering.

15. And he flew it, and Mofes took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and fanctified it to make reconciliation upon it.

16 And he took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Mofes burned it upon the altar.

17 But the bullock and his hide, his flesh and his dung, he burnt with fire without the camp: as the Lord commanded Moles. 18 4 And he brought the ram for the burnt-offering and Aaron and his fons 1aid their hands upon the head of the ram. 19 And he killed it,and Mofes fprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.

20 And he cut the ram into pieces, and "Moles burnt the head, and the pieces, and the fat.

21 And he washed the inwards and the legs in water; and Mofes burnt the whole iram upon the altar: it was a burnt-facrifice for a tweet favour, and an offering made by fire unto the LORD: as the LORD commanded Mofes.

22 And he brought the other ram,the

laid their hands upon the head of the ram. 23 And he flew it, and Mofes took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aarons right ear, and upon the thum of his right hand, and upon the great toe of Dis right foot.

14 And he brought Aarons fons, and Mofes pat of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes or their right feet: and Mofes (prinkled the blood upon the altar round about.

25 And he took the fat and the rump; &

all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right thoulder.

26 And out of the basket of unleavened bread, that was before the LORD, he took one unleavend cake, and a cake of oyled bread, and one wafer, and put them on the fat, and upon the right thoulder.

27 And he put all upon Aarons hands, and upon his fons hands, and waved them for a wave offering before the LORD.

28 And Mofes took them from off their hands, and burnt them on the altar, upon the burnt-offering: they were confecrations for a fweet favour: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

29 And Moles took the breast and waved it for a wave offering before the LORD: for of the ram of confecration it was Motes part: as the LORD commanded Moles.

30 And Mofes took of the anointing.oyl, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and fprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his fons, and upon his Tons garments with him and fanétified Aaron, and his garments, and his fons, and his fons garments with him.

31 And Moles faid unto Aaron, and to his fons, Boyl the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and there eat it with the bread that is in the basket of confecrations, as I commanded, faying, Aaron and his fons fhall eat it.

32 And that which remainerh of flelh and of the bread all ye burn with fire.

33 And ye fhall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation in feven days, until the days of your confecration be at an end: tor feven days thall he confecrate you.

24 As he hath done this day, Jo the LORD hath commanded to do, to make an atonement for you.

35 Therefore hall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night, feven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not: for foam commanded.

36 So Aaron and his fons did all things which the LORD commanded by the hand of Mofès.

CHAP. IX.

1 The first offerings of Aaron for bimself and the people. 23 Mofes and Aaron blafs the people. 24 Fire cometh from the LORD upon the altar. ANd it came to pals on the eight day,

that Mofes called Aaron and his fons, and the elders of Ifrael.

2 And he faid unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a fin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.

3 And unto the children of Ifrael thou halt fpeak, faying, Take ye a kid of the goats, for a fin-offering, and a calf, and a lamb, borb of the first year, without blemith, for a burnt offering;

24 Allo a bullock and a ram, for peaceofferings, to facrifice before the LORD: and a meat-offering mingled with oyl: for

to day the LORD will appear unto you. And they brought that which Mofes commanded, before the tabernacle of the Congregation and all the congregation die near and food before the LORD.

6 And Mofes faid, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye

fhould do: and the glory of the LORD
hall appear unto you.
TAnd Mofes faid unto Aaron, Go unto
the altar, and offer thy Gin-offering, and thy
burnt-offering; & make an atonement for
thy felf and forý people, and offer y offe-
ring of the people, and make an atone-
ment for them; as the LORD commanded.
8 Aaron therefore went unto the altar
and flew the calf of the fin-offering which
Was for himself.

9 And the fons of Aaron brought the blood unto him and he dipt his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar.

10 But the fat and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver of the fin-offering he burnt upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Mofes.

11 And the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire without the camp.

12 And he flew the burnt-offering, and Aarons fons prefented unto him the blood, he fprinkled round about upon the altar. 13 And they prefented the burnt offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar. 14 And he did wath the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt offering on the altar.

15 And he brought peoples offering and took thegoat which was the fin offer ing for the people, and flew it and offered it for Gin as the first.

16 And he brought the burnt-offering, and offered it according to the manner.

17 And he brought the meat-offering, and took an handful thereof and buint it upon the alar, beide the burnt-facrifice of the morning.

18 How alfo the bullock and the ram, for a facrifice of peace-offerings, which was for the people: and Aarons fons prefented unto him the blood (he fprink -led upon the altar round about)

19 And the fat of the bullock, and of the ram, the rump, and that which covereth be inwards, and the kidneys, and the caul Above the liver.

10. And they put the fat upon the breafts, and be burnt the fat upon the altar:

21 And the breafts and the right shoul der Aaron waved for a wave offering be fore the LORD; as Mofes commanded.

22 And Aaronlift up his hand towards the people and bleed them, and came down from offering of the lin-offering, and the burnt-offering, and peace-offerings.

23 And Mofes and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregations and came put, and bleffed the people and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people. And there came a fire out from be

CHAP. X.

Nadab and Abibu burnt. 8 Priests for-
bidden wine.

ANd Nadah and Abinu, the fons of Aa-
ron, took either of them his center,
and put fire therein, and put incenfe there
on, and offered ftrange fire before the
LORD, which he commanded them not.
2 And there went out fire from the Lord,
and devoured them, and they died before
the LORD.

3 Inen Mofes faid unto Aaron. This is it that the LORD fpake, faying, I will be Tanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

4 And Mofes called Mihael and Elzaphan, the fons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and faid unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the fanctuary out of the camp.

5 So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Mofes had faid.

6 And Mofes faid unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar his fors, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes, left you die, and left wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole houfe of Ifrael, bewail the burning which the LORD bath kindled.

7 And ye fhall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation; left you die for the anointing oy! of the LORD is upon you. And they did according to the word of Mofcs.

8 And the LORD spake unto Aaron, faying.

9 Do not drink wine nor, ftrong drink, thou, nor thy lons with thee, when ye ge into the tabernacle of the congregation; left you die: It all be a ftatute for ever throughout your generations.

10 And that you may put difference be tween holy and unholy, and between clean and clean.

11 And that ye may teach the children of Ifrael all the ftatutes which the LORD bath poken unto them by the band of Mofes.^

12 And Mofes ipake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar, and unto Ithamar his fons that were left. Take the meat-offering that remaineth of the offerings o the LORD, made by fire and cat it without leaven befide the altar for it is molt holy.

13 And ye hall eat it in the holy place, becaufe it is thy due, and thy fons due of the facrifices of the LORD made by fire: for fo I am commanded.

14 And the wave-breaft and heavefhoulder fhall ye eat in a clean place : thou, and tby fons, and the daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy fons due, which are given out of the facrifices of peace-effrings of the children of Ifrael.

161 And Mofes diligently fought the goat of the fin-offering, and behold, it was burnt and he was angry with Eleazar, and I hamar the fons of Aaron which were left alive faying,

17 Wherefore have ye not eaten the finoffering in the holy place, feeing it is moft holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD?

18 Behold, the blood of it was not brought in, within the holy place: ye fhould indeed have eaten it in the holy place as I commanded.

19 And Aaron faid unto Mofes, Behold, this day have they offered their fin-offering, and their burnt-offering before the LORD: and fuch things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the fin-offering to day, fhould it have been accepted in the fight of

the LORD?

content.

CHAP. XI.

1,4 Of meats clean, 13 and unclean.

A Nd the LORD ipake unto Moles, and

to Aaron laying unto them.

1 Speak unto the children of Ifrael, faying. There are the beafts which ye shall eat among all the beafts, that are on the earth. 3 Whatfoever parteth the hoof. and is cloven-footed, and cheweth the curd among the beafts that shall ye eat.

4 Nevertheless, thefe thall ye not eat, of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof, as the camel because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.

5 And the cony, becaufe he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof, he is unclean un o you.

6 And the hare, becaufe he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoot; he is

unclean unto you.

7. And the wine, though he divide the boof and be cloven-footed, yet he cheweth not the cud, he is unclean to you.

8.of their flefh fhall ye not eat, and their carcafe thall ye not touch; they are uncleap to you.

99 Thele fhall ye eat of all that are in the waters, whatfoever hath fins and feales in the waters, in the Teas, and in the rivers; them fhall ye eat.

To And all that have not fins nor fcales in the leas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing. which is in the waters; they shall be

an abomination unto you.

11 They fhall be even an abomination unto you: ye fhall not eat of their flesh, but you shall have their carcales in abomi

nation.

12 Whatfoever hath no fins nor fcales in the waters, that fall be an abomination

unto you.

Beafts and fowls to be eaten.

13 And thefe are they which ye fhall have in abomination among the fowls, they thall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle and the offifrage, and the ofpray.

14 And the vultre, and the kite, after his kind:

15 Every raven after his kind.

16 And the owl, and the night-hawke, and the cuckow,& the hawke after his kind. 17 And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,

18 And th fwan, and the pelican, and the gier-eagle,

19 And the Itork, and the heron afrer her kind, and the lapwing and the bat:

20 All fowls that creep, going upon all four, fhall be an abomination unto you

21 Yet these may ye eat, of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth.

12 Even thefe of them ye may eat; the locults after his kind, and the bald locuft a ter his kind, and the beetle after his kind; and the grafhopper after his kind.

2 But all other flying creeping things, which have for feet fhall be an abomination unto you.

24 And for thefe ye fhall be unclean; whofoever toucheth the carcafe of them, hall be unclean untill the even.

15 And whofoever beareth, ought of the carcafe of them, fhall wash his cloathes, and be unclean unt ill the even

26 The ca cafes of every beaft which divideth the hoot, aud is not cloven-footednor cheweth the cud, are unclean un'o you! every one that toucheth them, fhall be unclean.

27 And whatsoever goeth upon his paws, among all manner of beatts, that go on all four, thofe are unclean unto you; wholo toucheth their carcafe fhall be unclean untill the even.

28 And he that beareth the carcafe of them, fhall wash his cloaths and be unclean untill the even: they are unclean unto you'.

29 These alfo fhall be unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth: the weafel and the mouse, and the tortoife after his kind.

30 And the ferret. and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the fnail, and the mole. 31 Thefe are unclean to you among all creep: whofoever doth touch them when they be dead snall be unclean nntilly even.

32 And upon what foever any of them when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean, whether it be any veffel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or fack, whatsoever velfel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be un clean untill the even: fo it shall be cleanfed.

33 And every earthen veffel, whereunto any of them falleth, whatsoever is in it, shall be unclean: and ye shall break it.

34 Of all meat which may be eaten, that on which fucb water cometh, shall be un clean: and all drink that may be drunk in every fuck veffel, shall be unclean. 35 And

35 And every thing, whereupon any part of their carcafe falleth, fhall be unclean; whether it be oven, or ranges for pots, they fhall be broken down; for they are unclean, and fhall be unclean unto you. 36 Nevertheless, a fountain or pit, wherein there is plenty of water, fhall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcafe, fhall be unclean.

37 And if any part of their carcafe fall upon any fowing feed which is to be fown; it shall be clean.

28 But if any water be put upon the feed and any part of their carcafe fall thereon; it shall be unclean unto you.

39 And if any beaft of which ye may eat, die; he that toucheth the carcafe thereof, shall be unclean until the even.

40 Aud he that eateth of the carcafe of it, fhall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even he alfo that beareth the carcafe of it, fhall wath his clothes, and be unclean until the even.

41 And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth,shall be an abomination: it fhall not be eaten.

42 Whatsoever goeth upon the belly,

and whatfoever goeth upon all four, or what foever hath more feet among all creeping things, that creep upon the earth, them ye thall not eat, for they are an abomination.

43 Ye fhall not make your felves abominable with any creeping thingy creepeth, neither fhall you make your felves unclean with them, yye fhould be defiled thereby. 44For I am the LORD your God: ye thall therefore fan&the your felves, and ye fhall be holy; for I am holy neither fhall ye defive your felves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon earth.

45 For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be yout God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am boly.

46 This is the law of the beafts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth:

47 To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beaft that may be eaten, and the beaft that may not be eaten.

CHAP. XII.

Womans purifging.

5 But if the bear a maid-child, then the fhall be unclean two weeks, as in her feparation: and the fhall continue in $ blood of her purifying threefcore and fix days. 6. And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a fon, or for a daughter the fhall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtle-dove for a fin-offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the prieft:

7 Who fhall offer it before the LORD, and make an atonement for her, and the fhall be cleanfed from the iffue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female.

8 And if the be not able to bring a lamb, then the shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt-offering, and the other for a fin- offering: and the priest fhall make an atonement for her and the thall be clean.

CHAP. XIII. I The laws and tokens guiding the priest to difcern the leprofe.

Nd the LORD spake unto Mofes and

Aaron, faying

2 When a man thall have in the skin of his fefb, a riling, a fcab, or bright fpot, and it be in the skin of his flesh, like the plague of leprolie; then he thall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unro one of his fons the priests.

3. And the prieit shall look on the plague in the skinof the flesh: and when the hair in the plague is turned white, and the plague in fight be deeper than the skin of his feth: it is a plague of leprotie:& the priest shall look on him, and pronounce him unclean.

4. If the bright spot be white in the skin of his tefh, and in light be not deeper than the skin, and the hair thereof be not turned white; then the priest shall shut up bim that bath the plague, feven days.

And the priest fhall look on him the feventh day: and behold, if the plague in his fight be at a ftay, and the plague fpread not in the skin; then the priest fhall shut him up feven days more.

6 And the priest shall look on him again the feventh day: and behold, if the plague be fomewhat dark, and the plague fpread not in the skin; the prieft shall pronounce him clean it is but a fcab: and he shall

2 Speak unto the children of Ifrael, faying, If a woman have conceived feed, and born a man-child, then the thall be unclean feven days according to the days of the feparation for her infirmity fhall the be unclean.

3 And in the eight day the flesh of his fore-skin fhall be circumcifed.

4 And she thall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days: the fha'l touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the fanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fullfilled.

9 When the plague of leprofie is in a man, then he fhall be brought unto & priest:

10 And the priest shall fee bim: and behold, if the rifing be white in the skin, and it have turned the hair white, and there be quick raw flesh in the rifing.;

II It is an old leprofie in the skin of lis flesh, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean, and shall not shut him up, for he is unclean, 12 And
