David Forgacs is Professor of Italian at University College London and author of "Rome Open City" in the BFI Film Classics series. Sarah Lutton works for the British Film Institute at the National Film Theatre. Geoffrey Nowell-Smith is the editor of the "Oxford History of World Cinema "(1996).
