Psalm iv. Cum invocarem.

Cum invocárem, exaudívit 1 When I called upon him, me Deus justitiæ meæ: in the God of my justice heard tribulatióne dilatásti mihi.

me: when I was in distress, thou didst enlarge me.

2 Have mercy upon me: and hear my prayer.

30 ye sons of men, how long will ye be dull of heart: why do ye love vanity, and seek after lying?

4 Know ye also that the Lord hath exalted his holy one: the Lord will hear me, when I cry unto him.

5 Be ye angry, and sin not: the things which ye say in your hearts, be sorry for upon your beds.

6 Offer up the sacrifice of justice, and hope in the Lord: there are many that say, Who sheweth us good things?

7 The light of thy counte

men vultus tui, Dómine: disti lætitiam in corde meo.

A fructu fruménti, vini, et ólei sui: multiplicáti sunt.

In pace in idípsum: dórmiam et requiéscam.

Quoniam tu, Dómine, singuláriter in spe : * constituísti me. Glória Patri.

nance, O Lord, is signed upon us thou hast put gladness in my heart.

8 By the fruit of their corn and wine and oil: are they multiplied.

9 In peace in the self-same: I will sleep and take my rest.

10 For thou only, O Lord: hast established me in hope. Glory be to the Father, &c.

Psalm xxx. In te, Domine, speravi. In te, Dómine, sperávi, non confúndar in ætérnum: * in justítia tua libera me.

Inclína ad me aurem tuam:* accélera, ut éruas me.

Esto mihi in Deum protectórem, et in domum refúgii: ut salvum me fácias.

Quóniam fortitúdo mea, et refúgium meum es tu:et propter nomen tuum dedúces me, et enútries me.

Edúces me de láqueo hoc, quem abscondérunt mihi : * quóniam tu es protéctor meus.

In manus tuas comméndo spiritum meum: * redemísti me, Dómine, Deus veritátis. Glória Patri.

Psalm xc. Qui habitat in adjutório Altíssimi in protectióne Dei cœli commorábitur.

1 In thee, O Lord, have I hoped, let me never be confounded deliver me in thy justice.

2 Incline thine ear unto me: make haste to deliver me.

3 Be thou my God, my protector, and a house of refuge : that thou mayest save me.

4 For thou art my strength and my refuge and for thy name's sake, thou wilt lead me and nourish me.

5 Thou wilt bring me out of this snare, that they have laid for me for thou art my protector.

6 Into thy hands I commend my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O Lord, the God of truth. Glory be to the Father, &c. Qui habitat.

1 He that dwelleth in the help of the Most High: shall abide under the protection of the God of heaven.
