This book was not written for publication, but was compiled by my Father for private use, and was daily used by him in family worship. After his death it was privately printed by my Mother for the use of his children. In response to an earnest request it is now published. No alterations have been made in the original manuscript, nor has anything been added to it, with the exception of an Appendix containing the Collects for Sacred Seasons from the Prayer Book of the Church of England. This little book bears the impress of the mind and heart of one who was an earnest and loyal Priest of the Church of England, and whose life was devoted to the promotion of God's glory.
