Amen.

Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trefpaffes as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen.

H

AIL Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; bleffed art thou among women, and bleffed is the fruit of thy womb, Jefus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us finners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

I BELIEVE in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven

and earth. And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghoft, born of the Virgin Mary, fuffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he defcended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and fitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost,

B

the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of fins, the refurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

NLIGHTEN those who fit in darkness, and in the

peace, O God of Ifrael.

P. The Lord be with you.

C. And with thy spirit.

Let us pray.

ALMIGHTY and eternal God, who haft appointed us fix days, in which we may labour, and haft confecrated the feventh to thyfelf; grant, we beseech thee, that according as thou haft commanded, we may fanctify this day, by devoting it entirely to thy love and service. Mercifully forgive us all our past neglect; pardon the fins of which we have been guilty during the courfe of the week, and give us grace henceforth to avoid them. Make us fenfible, O God, of the daily bleffings we receive from thy bounty; that as we know thee by faith, we may love thee by charity; and fixing all our hopes on the happiness of a future life, we may patiently fuffer, in fubmiffion to thy holy will, what thou dost now permit, and may come at length to the joys of thy heavenly kingdom; through our Lord Jefus Chrift thy Son, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.

ALMIGHTY and everlasting God, the eternal falvation of those who believe in thee, hear us, we beseech thee, in behalf of thy fervants who are fick, for whom we humbly implore thy mercy; that their health may be restored, if it be

expedient for them, and that they may render thanks to thee in thy church; through Jefus Chrift our Lord. Amen.

UT of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord:
Lord, hear my voice.

Let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my fupplication. If thou, O Lord, wilt obferve iniquities: Lord, who fhall endure it?

For with thee there is merciful forgiveness, and because of thy law I have waited for thee, O Lord.

My foul hath relied on his word: my foul hath hoped in the Lord.

From the morning-watch even until night, let Ifrael hope in the Lord.

For with the Lord there is mercy: and with him there is plenteous redemption.

And he shall redeem Ifrael from all its iniquities.

Eternal reft give to them, O Lord.

And may perpetual light shine upon them.

Let us pray.

GOD, the giver of pardon and lover of the falvation of mankind, we beseech thy clemency: grant that the members of this congregation, that our relations, and benefactors, who have departed this life, may by the interceffion of the blessed Virgin Mary and of all thy faints, come to the fellowship of eternal happiness.

O God, the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful, grant to the fouls of thy fervants departed the remiffion of all their fins, that through pious fupplications, they may obtain the pardon which they have always defired; through Jefus Chrift our Lord. Amen.

May they reft in peace. Amen.

O Almighty and eternal God, grant us an increase of Faith, Hope, and Charity; and, that we may deferve to obtain what

thou haft promised, make us to love what thou hast commanded; through Jefus Chrift our Lord. Amen.

I

An Act of Faith.

FIRMLY believe that there is only one God, that he is my first beginning and my last end, and that in God there are three distinct perfons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghoft; that the Son took to himself the nature of man, and died upon a cross for the falvation of all mankind; I believe that God will reward the good in heaven, and punish the wicked in hell: and I believe these, and all the other facred truths, which the Catholic Church believes and teaches, because they have been revealed by God, who can neither deceive nor be deceived.

C. Grant, O God, that we may humbly receive and firmly hold fast all those truths, which thou haft revealed, and which thy church has proposed to our belief.

An Act of Hope.

GOD, relying upon thy goodness, power, and promises, I hope to receive pardon for my fins, and to obtain life everlasting, through the merits of Jefus Chrift, my only Redeemer.

C. This hope thus founded on thy mercy, thy power, and thy promises, still more, O God, confirm and strengthen in us.

An Act of Charity.

GOD, I love thee above all things, with my whole heart and foul, because thou art infinitely good and art deferving of all love; I alfo love my neighbour as myself, for the love of thee: I forgive all who have injured me, and I afk pardon of all whom I have injured.

C. Thus only, O God, can we fatisfy our duty of loving thee above all things, and our neighbour as ourselves.

An Act of Contrition.

GOD, I abhor and detest all my fins, and I am heartily forry for them, not merely for the fear of punishment, or for the hope of reward, but chiefly because by finning I have offended thee, who art infinitely good, and whom I love
