GREEN, A. M.

This book has met with the unqualified approbation of many eminent teachers of youth. GRADATIONS IN READING AND SPELLING, upon an entirely new and original Plan, by which Dissyllables are rendered as easy as Monosyllables. Designed as an introduction to the Scholar's Companion. By the author of the Scholar's Companion.

RECOMMENDATION.

From William Russel, A. M., No. 92 South Eighth Street, Philadelphia.

DEAR SIR,

Parents, and the teachers of young children, are under great obligations to you for the reprint of the "Gradations in Reading and Spelling." It is a work excellently adapted for exercises in syllabication. The arrangement of the spelling lessons is the most naturally and gradually progressive that could be devised. The plan of the book is such as to enable the young learner to understand and aid his own progress; and overcome, as far as practicable, the peculiar difficulties in the pronunciation of our language. This book is used in all the Primary Schools of Philadelphia.
