We agree, chat particular Sociecies of viable Saints, who under Christ their head, are tatedly joined together, for ordinary Communion with one another in all thcOrdinances of Christ, are particular Churches, and are co be owned by each other, as Inftituced Churches of Christ, though differing in Apprehensions and Praktice in some lesser chings. i Cor 14. 2;3, & 1. 2. & 12.27. That none shall be admitted as, Mem. -bers, in order to communion in all the special Ordinances of the Gospel, but such Persons as are' knowing and sound in the Fundamental Doarine of tbe Cbriftian Religion, without scandal in their. II They who are called to this Office ought to be endued with competent Learning MiniBerial Gifts, as also with the Grace of God, found in Judgment, not Novices in the Faith and knowledge of the Gospel : without scandal, of Holy Conversation, and such as devote

III. That ordinarily none shall be ordained to che Work of this Ministry, but such as aro Called and Chosen thereunto by a particular, Church. Alls 14. 23. . IV. That in so great and weighty a Mata ter as the Calling and Chufing a Paftor, we judge it ordinarily requisite, chat every such Church consult and advise with the Pastor of neighbouring Congregations Pro.11.14&15.22

V. That after such Advice the Persons consulted about, being cholen by the Brotherhood of that particular Church over which he is to be set, and he accepting, be duly. Ordained & set apart to his Office over chem ; wherein tis ordinarily requisite that the Pastors of Neighbouring Congregations concur with the Proach“, ing Elder or Elders, if such there be. VI. That whereas such Ordination is only in tended for such as never before bad beenOrdained to the MinisterialOffice; if any judge that in the case also of the removal of one formerly Ordained, to a new Stacion, or Pastoral barge, chere ought to be a like,solemn recommending him and his Labours to the Grace & Bleling of P

VII. It is expedient that they who enter on thework of preaching the Gospel, be not only qualified for the Communion of Saints ; but also, that except in Cases Extraordinary, they give proof of theirGifts & Fitness for the faidWork, unto the Pastors of Churches of known Abilities to discern and judge of their Qualifications ; that they may be sent forth with lolemn Approbation and Prayer ; which we judge necatol, that no Doubc may remain concerning their being called unto the Work; and for preventing (as much as in us lyech) Ignorant & rain Intruders.
