May we shew by our lives that thou art our Father.

Grant that we may love thee with all our hearts and minds, and souls and strength.

"Hallowed be thy name.".

O that we may glorify thy name by walking before thee in righteousness and true holiness, all our days.

May the end of all our designs and actions, be thy glory O God.

But Ah! how little have we done to pro

mote thy glory!

God be merciful unto us.

Glorify thine

own name O God, by saving such miserable

sinners as we are, and ever have been, since we were born.

"Let thy Kingdom come."

Do thou O king of saints, establish thy kingdom of grace in our hearts, may we be thy

subjects out of choice, and ever yield thee willing obedience.

O that thy holy spirit may direct and rule our hearts; subdue in us all pride and covetousness, hatred, malice, lust and all uncleanness, and whatever shall offend thee.

May thy kingdom be set up in ever heart.

Bless the pious, endeavours of all those who strive to propagate the gospel of Christ; and may its saving truths be received in all the world.

Thy will be done on earth as it is in hea

ven."

As thy angels above do perfectly perform thy will, so may we below, as far as the frailty of our nature will allow.

May thy will, revealed to us in thy holy word, be the rule of our will, of our desires, of our words and actions.

O heavenly Father, subdue in us whatever is contrary to thy holy will. Grant that we

may ever study to know thy will, that we may know how to please thee.

Subdue in us that natural aversion which we have to do thy will O God.

May we ever say with our hearts, not my will, but thine be done.

Should affliction come upon us, may we say it is the Lord, let him do what seemeth to him good.

Keep our minds in such a temper that we may ever close with thy will whenever it is made known to us.

We adore thy goodness in making thy will known to us, and in shewing us the way to everlasting life.

May we walk in this good, and at last find rest to our souls.

σε Give us this day our daily bread."

Daily O God, do we have recourse unto thee

F

for on thee we depend for life and breath, and

all things.

May we be content and thankful for our present condition, to which, as sinners, we have no right.

Having food and raiment, may we be con

tent.

Thou O Father, knowest what we stand in need of, give us those things which thou seest proper.

May we never use any unlawful ways of getting our daily bread.

Dispose our hearts to impart to such as are in want, of what thou hast given us more than our daily bread.

But especially do we pray thee O Father, to give us that bread which nourisheth to eternal life.

Do thou daily nourish our souls with grace, as thou dost our bodies with food.

O may we seek first the kingdom of heaven and its righteousness, and then trust in thee that all other things will be added to us.

"And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.”

O that we may be kindly affectioned, one towards another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as thou O Lord for Christ's sake, hast forgiven us.

May we remember thy goodness, thy patience, thy mercy towards us, and the multitude of our offences against thee, that we may from our hearts forgive all that have offended

us.

Thou hast been all mercy to us O God; grant that we may be so to all others.

And may we never expect vainly thy for giveness, without first forgiving those who may have injured us.

But O God, even the power to perform this condition, must be from thy grace; so weak
