Informacje o autorze (2012)

Indian Ocean sunrises, a palm-fringed coastline and an endlessly fascinating cultural mix draw Mary back again and again to East and Southern Africa n the areas she writes most about for Lonely Planet. Originally from the USA, Mary spent her early years in Washington, DC n dreaming, more often than not, of how to get across an ocean or two to more exotic locales. After finishing graduate studies, she set off for several years in Europe. Her fascination with languages and cultures soon led her further south to Africa, where she has spent much of the past two decades living and working all around the continent, including in Mozambique and in Tanzania, where she is currently based. Mary has authored and co-authored many guidebooks for Lonely Planet, including Mozambique; Tanzania; South Africa, Lesotho & Swaziland; East Africa; West Africa; and, Egypt.
