Of Food.

Pf. xxxvii. 3. Truft in the LORD and do good, fo fhalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Pf. cxi. 5. He hath given meat unto them that fear him; he will ever be mindful of his covenant. Pf. exxxii. 15. I will abundantly blefs her provifion, I will fatisfy her poor with bread.

Pf. cxlvii. 14. He filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

Prov. xiii. 25. The righteous eateth to the fatisfying of his foul.

Mat. vi. 26. Behold the fowls of the air, for they fow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them: Are ye not much better than they?

Foel ii. 26. And ye fhall eat in plenty, and be fatisfied.

If. lxv. 13. Behold my fervants fhall eat, but ye fhall be hungry; behold my fervants fhall drink, but ye fhall be thirsty.

Mat. vi. 25. I fay unto you, Take no Raiment. thought for your life, what ye fhall eat, or what ye fhall drink; nor yet for your

body,

body, what ye fhall put on is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Ver. 30. IV. Promifes of LONG LIFE and HEALTH. Deut. v. 33. You fhall walk in all the ways which the LORD your GOD hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye fhall poffefs.

Deut. v. 2. That thou mightest fear the LORD thy GOD, to keep all his ftatutes and commandments, which I command thee; thou, and thy fon, and thy fon's fon, all the days of thy life, and that thy days may be prolonged.

Job v. 26. Thou fhalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a fhock of corn cometh in, in his feason.

P. xxxiv. 12. What man is he that defireth life, and loveth many days, that he may fee good? Ver. 13. Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from fpeaking guile. Ver. 14. Depart from evil and do good, feek peace and pursue it.

P. xci. 16. With long life will I fatisfy him, and fhew him my falvation.

Prov. iii. 2. Length of days, and long life, and peace, fhall they add to thee. Ver. 26. Length of days is in her [Wifdom's] right hand.

Prov. ix. 11. By me thy days fhall be multiplied, and the years of thy life fhall be increased.

Prov. x. 27. The fear of the LORD prolongeth days.

Prov. iii. 7. Be not wife in thine own eyes; fear the LORD, and depart from evil. Ver. 8. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Prov. iv. 22. They are life to them that find them, and health to all their flesh.

V. Promifes of SAFETY under the Divine Protection.

Deut. xxxiii. 12. The beloved of the LORD fhall dwell in fafety by him; and the LORD fhall cover him all the day long.

Prov. xviii. 10. The name of the LORD is a ftrong tower; the righteous runneth into it, and is fafe.

Pfal. cxvi. 8. I have fet the LORD always before me: Because he is at my right hand, I fhall not be moved..

Pfal. cxii. 7. He fhall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is fixed, trufting in the LORD.

1 Pet. iii. 13. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?

Job iv. 7. Remember, I pray thee, Who ever perished, being innocent? Or where were the righteous cut off?

Job xi. 18. Thou shalt be secure, because there is hope.

Job v. 23. Thou fhalt be in league with the ftones of the field; and the beasts of the field fhall be at peace with thee.

Hof. ii. 18. And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beafts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the

Job xi. 18. Thou fhalt dig about thee, and thou fhalt take thy reft in fafety. Ver. 19. Also thou fhalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid.

Pf. iv. 8. I will both lay me down in peace, and fleep; for thou LORD only makest me dwell in fafety. Pf. cxxvii. 2. He giveth his beloved fleep.

Prov. iii. 24. When thou lieft down, thou fhalt not be afraid; yea, thou fhalt lie down, and thy fleep fhall be fweet.

1. Sam. ii. 9. He will keep the feet of his faints, and the wicked fhall be filent in darkness, for by ftrength fhall no man prevail.

P. xxvii. 1. The LORD is my light, and my falvation, whom fhall I fear? The LORD is the ftrength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid ?

P. xxxiv. 20. He keepeth all his bones, not one of them is broken.

P. xci. 1. He that dwelleth in the fecret place of the Most High, fhall abide under the fhadow of the Almighty. Ver. 2. I will fay of the LORD he is my refuge, and my fortrefs; my GOD, in him will I trust. Ver. 4. He fhall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings fhalt thou truft: His truth

Ver. 3. He will not fuffer thy foot to be moved : He that keepeth thee will not flumber.

Ver. 4. Behold, he that keepeth Ifrael, fhall neither flumber nor fleep.

Ver. 5. The LORD is thy keeper: The LORD is thy fhade upon thy right hand.

Ver. 6. The fun fhall not fmite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

Ver. 7. The LORD fhall preserve thee from all evil: He fhall preferve thy foul.

Ver. 8. The LORD fhall preserve thy going out, and thy coming in, from this time forth, and even for

evermore.

Pf. cxxiv. 8. Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Pf. cxxv. 2. As the mountains are round about Jerufalem, fo the LORD is round about his people, from henceforth even for ever.

Prov. iii. 23. Then fhalt thou walk in thy way fafely, and thy foot fhall not stumble.
