Abraham, and Ifaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

Matt. xxiv. 14. This gofpel of the kingdom fhall be preached in all the world, for a witnefs unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

John xii. 32. And I, if I be lifted up, will draw all men after me.

Rev. xi. 15. And the feventh angel founded, and there were great voices in heaven, faying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our LORD, and of his Chrift; and he fhall reign for ever and ever. See Rev. vii. 9, 10. Rev. xii. 10.

II. The GLORY of the CHURCH.

P. xlv. 13. The King's daughter is all glorious within; her clothing is of wrought gold.

Pf. xlviii. 2. Beautiful for fituation, the joy of the whole earth is mount Zion, on the fides of the north, the city of the Great King.

Ver. 12. Walk about Zion, and go round about

her tell the towers thereof :

Ver. 13. Mark ye well her bulwarks, confider her palaces, that ye may tell it to the generation following.

P. lxxxvii. 3. Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of GOD.

I. xlvi. 13. I will bring near my righteousness: it fhall not be far off, and my falvation fhall not tarry ;. and I will place falvation in Zion for Ifrael my glory.

If. liv. 11. O thou afflicted, toffed with tempeft, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy ftones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with fapphires.

Ver. 12. And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant ftones.

I. lx. 1. Arife, fhine, for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

Ver. 2. For behold darkness shall cover the earth, and grofs darkness the people; but the LORD fhall arise upon thee, and his glory fhall be feen upon thee.

Ver. 13. The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir-tree, the pine-tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my fanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.

Ver. 14. Whereas thou hast been forfaken and hated, so that no man went through thee; I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.

Ver. 19. The fun fhall be no more thy light by day, neither for brightness fhall the moon give light unto thee; but the LORD fhall be unto thee an everlafting light, and thy GOD thy glory.

Ver. 20. Thy fun fhall no more go down, neither fhall the moon withdraw herfelf; for the LORD fhall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning fhall be ended.

I. lxii. 2. The Gentiles fhall fee thy righteoufness, and all kings thy glory; and thou fhalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD fhall name.

Ver. 3. Thou fhalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy GOD.

Rev. xxi. 10. And he carried me away in the Spirit, to a great and high mountain, and fhewed me that great city, the holy Jerufalem, defcending out of heaven from GOD;

Ver. 11. Having the glory of GOD: and her light was like unto a ftone moft precious; even like a jafper-ftone, clear as cryftal. See ver. 18, 21.

Ver. 22. And I faw no temple therein; for the

LORD

LORD GOD Almighty, and the Lamb, are the temple of it.

Ver. 23. And the city had no need of the fun, neither of the moon, to fhine in it; for the glory of GOD did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Ver. 24. And the nations of them which are faved, fhall walk in the light of it; and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

Ver. 25. And the gates of it fhall not be shut at all by day; for there fhall be no light there.

Ver. 26. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

III. Promifes of the Increase of LIGHT and KNOWLEDGE, and of the MEANS of Grace.

I. xi. 4. The earth fhall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the fea.

If. xxv. 6. And in this mountain fhall the LORD of hosts make unto all people, a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees, well refined.

Ver. 7. And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering caft over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations.

If. xxix. 18. In that day fhall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obfcurity, and out of darkness.

Ver. 24. They also that erred in spirit, shall come to understanding; and they that murmured, fhall learn doctrine.

I. xli. 18. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the vallies; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land fprings of water.

Ver. 19. I will plant in the wildernefs the cedar,

the

the fhittah-tree, and the myrtle, and the oil-tree; will fet in the defart the fir-tree, and the pine, and the box-tree together. See chap. xxxv. 6, 7, 8.

If lii. 7. How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publifheth peace, that bringeth good tidings of good, that publifheth falvation, that faith unto Zion, Thy GOD reigneth.

Ver. 8. Thy watchmen fhall lift up the voice ; with the voice together fhall they fing; for they fhall fee eye to eye, when the LORD fhall bring again Zion.

I. liv. 13. And all thy children fhall be taught of “ the LORD.

Dan. xii. 4. Many fhall run to and fro, and knowledge fhall be increased.

IV. Promifes of PURITY, HOLINESS, and RIGHTEOUSNESS in the CHURCH.

If. iv. 3. And it fhall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerufalem, fhall be called holy; even every one that is written among the living in Jerufalem:

Ver. 4. When the LORD fhall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and fhall have purged the blood of Jerufalem from the midft thereof, by the Spirit of judgment, and by the Spirit of burning.

I. xxxii. 15. Until the Spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a foreft:

Ver. 16. Then judgment fhall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.

If. xxxiii. 5. The LORD is exalted, for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.

Ver. 6. And wisdom and knowledge fhall be the stability

ftability of thy times, and ftrength of falvation the fear of the LORD is his treasure.

If. xlv. 8. Drop down ye heavens from above, and let the skies pour down righteoufnefs; let the earth open, and let them bring forth falvation, and let righteousness spring up together: I the LORD have

created it.

Pf. lxxxv. 10. Mercy and truth are met together : righteoufnefs and peace have kiffed each other.

Ver. 11. Truth fhall spring out of the earth; and righteousness fhall look down from heaven.

Ver. 13. Righteoufnefs fhall go before him, and fhall fet us in the way of his steps.

If. lx. 21. Thy people fhall be all righteous; they fhall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

I. lxvi. 11. As the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden caufeth the things that are fown in it; to fpring forth; fo the LORD GOD will caufe righteoufnefs and praife to fpring forth before all the nations.

Mal. iii. 43. He fhall fit as a refiner and purifier of filver, and he fhall purify the fons of Levi, and purge them as gold and filver, that they may offer unto the LORD, an offering in righteousness.

Ver. 4. Then fhall the offering of Judah and Jeru falem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

Pf. lxxii. 5. They fhall fear thee as long as the fun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

Zech. xiv. 20. In that day fhall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowls before the altar.

Ver. 21. Yea, every pot in Jerufalem, and in Judah, fhall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts; and
