The Prayers, Litanies, &c. have been collated with the Latin originals, wherever such were known to exist. The English version of the Psalms here given has been constructed by a comparison of the authorised Douay text (to which, in substance, it adheres,) with the several other versions which from time to time have been sanctioned for the purposes of detion. The indulgenced prayers have been literally translated from the Raccolta, Bouvier's Treatise on Indulgences, and the last edition of the Cœleste Palmetum.
