PSALM XXXII.

BL

LESSED is he whofe tranfgreffion is forgiven, whofe fin is covered.

2 Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whofe fpirit there is no guile.

3 When I kept filence, my bones waxed old; through my roaring all the day long. 4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of fummer. Selah.

5 I acknowledged my fin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid: I faid, I will confefs my tranfgreffions un

9 Be ye not as the horse or as the mule, which have no understanding: whofe mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, left they come near unto thee.

10 Many forrows fhall be to the wicked: but he that trufteth in the Lord, mercy fhall compafs him about.

11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and thout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

PSALM XXXIII. EJOICE in the Lord, O ye righteous, for praife is comely for the upright.

2 Praife the Lord with

to the Lord; and thou for-harp: fing unto him with the gaveft the iniquity of my fin. Selah.

6 For this fhall every one that is godly pray unto thee, in a time when thou mayeft be found: furely in the floods of great waters they fhall not come nigh unto him.

7 Thou art my hidingplace, thou fhalt preferve me from trouble: thou fhalt compass me about with fongs of deliverance. Selah.

8 I will inftruct thee, and teach thee in the way which thou fhalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye,

pfaltery, and an inftrument of ten ftrings.

3 Sing unto him a new fong: play fkilfully with a loud noise.

4 For the word of the Lord is right: and all his works are done in truth,

5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made: and all the hoft of them by the breath of his mouth.

II The counfel of the Lord. ftandeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

12 Bleffed is the nation whofe God is the Lord: and the people whom he hath chofen for his own inheritance.

13 The Lord looketh from heaven: he beholdeth all the fons of men.

14 From the place of his habitation, he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

15 He fashioneth their hearts alike: he confidereth all their works.

16 There is no king faved by the multitude of an hoft: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength,

17 An horfe is a vain thing for fafety: neither fhall he deliver any by his great

18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is unto them that fear him : upon them that hope in his mercy:

19 To deliver their foul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

20 Our foul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our fhield.

21 For our heart shall rejoice in him because we have trufted in his holy name.

22 Let thy mercy, Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

PSALM XXXIV.

WILL blefs the Lord at all times: his praise Jhall continually be in my mouth.

2 My foul fhall make her boaft in the Lord; the humble fhall hear thereof, and be glad.

30 magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

4 I fought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

5 They looked unto him, and were lightened and their faces were not ashamed.

6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him;

and

and faved him out of all his troubles. troubles.

7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

8 O taste and fee that the Lord is good: bleffed is the man that trufteth in him.

9 O fear the Lord, ye his faints for there is no want to them that fear him.

10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord fhall not want any good thing.

11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

12 What man is he that defireth life, and loveth many days, that he may fee good? 13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from fpeaking guile.

14 Depart from evil, and do good feek peace, and purfue it.

15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

16 The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth,

17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their

18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart and faveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

19 Many are the afflic tions of the righteous but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

21 Evil fhall flay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous fhall be defolate.

22 The Lord redeemeth the foul of his fervants: and none of them that truft in him fhall be defolate.

PSAL. XXXVI. HE tranfgreffion of the wicked faith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

2 For he flattereth himfelf in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wife, and to do good.

4 He devifeth mischief upon his bed: he fetteth himfelf in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

5 Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy

faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; do good, fo fhalt thou dwell thy judgments are a great in the land, and verily thou deep: O Lord, thou pre-fhalt be fed.

16 A little that a righteous man hath, is better than the riches of many wicked.

17 For the arms of the wicked fhall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righ

teous.

18 The Lord knoweth the days of the upright and their inheritance fhall be for

ever.

19 They fhall not be afhamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they fhall be fatisfied.

20 But the wicked fhall perifh, and the enemies of the Lord fhall be as the fat

of him, fhall inherit the earth; and they that be curfed of him, fhall be cut off.

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

24 Though he fall, he fhall not be utterly caft down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forfaken, nor his feed begging bread.

26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his feed is bleffed.

27 Depart from evil, and do good: and dwell for evermore.

28 For the Lord loveth judgment, and forfaketh not his faints, they are preserved for ever: but the feed of the wicked fhall be cut off.

29 The righteous fhall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30 The mouth of the righteous fpeaketh wisdom;
