The following Treatise, lays no claim to literary merit; nor does the subject require it. My aim, has been to trace Impediments of Speech to their true cause, and arrange a system of vocal exercises, the practice of which, will put
the organs of Speech in such a state, as will preclude the possibility of ungainly obstructions. There may be extreme cases of Stammering, aggravated by bodily debility, and nervous excitement, in which, my system, may fail in producing the full effects, of which it is capable in ordinary cases; but, even in the worst circumstances, the Impediment, will be greatly mitigated; and as physical health,
