Popularne fragmenty
Strona 6 - This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
Strona 17 - Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection ; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Strona 20 - This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works.
Strona 17 - And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.
Strona 20 - ... but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ : From whom the whole body fitly joined together, and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body, unto the edifying of itself in love.
Strona 25 - Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make us perfect in every good work to do his will, working in us that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Strona 27 - On motion, leave of absence was granted for the remainder of the session to Mr.
Strona xii - Provided that there shall be a right of appeal from the decision of the council to the judge as provided by and according to the procedure prescribed herein.
Strona 10 - Clergyman shall be convicted of any offense, except on the oaths of two credible witnesses, or upon the oath of one witness whose testimony is corroborated by pregnant circumstances. All testimony shall be upon oath, which shall be administered by the President of the Court. All spectators shall be excluded except the Clergy of the Diocese, and the Vestry of the Parish, or congregation. with which the accused is connected, and such of the relations and friends of the accused as to the Court may appear...
Strona 36 - Pitcher, for the able manner in which he has presided over the deliberations of this body, which was unanimously adopted.
