Subject to a quarter's stipend, which will be due to the Bishop on the 17th of June, 1849.

The amount received under circular of 1848, was something more than was realized in 1847. The increased charges on the fund growing out of taxes, &c. not heretofore levied, will require that there should be an increased attention on the part of the parishes to the subject of the last circular.

The Episcopal residence on Madison street is nearly completed; the Board respectfully suggest to the Convention the propriety of adopting such measures as will ensure to the Bishop hereafter the sum of $2,500 per annum and the occupancy of the house free of rent and all other charges, in lieu of his present stipend.

All which is respectfully submitted,

SAM'L I. DONALDSON,

Secretary of Trustees.
