to be the strength and support of our souls. Praised be Thy holy Name. Amen.

4. Thankfulness.

FOR SUNDAY EVENING.

LORD, I have this day received the blessed

Sacrament of the Body and Blood of my dear SAVIOUR. His mercy hath given it, and my faith received it into my soul. I humbly beseech Thee to speak mercy and peace unto my conscience, and enrich me with all those graces which come from that precious Body and Blood, even till I be possessed of eternal life in CHRIST. Amen. [ARCHBP. LAUD.]

5. Charity with all Men.

LORD, Who hast taught us that all our doings without charity are nothing worth, pour into my heart that most excellent gift of charity, the very bond of peace and of all virtues, without which whosoever liveth is counted dead before Thee. Grant this for Thine Only SON JESUS CHRIST's sake. Amen.

PRAYERS BEFORE THE SERVICE.

1. For Acceptance through CHRIST.

ALMIGHTY and most merciful GOD, Who

dost lovingly invite me, who am a miserable sinner and unworthy of the least of all Thy mercies, to come to Thee in this holy Sacrament, behold I come, trusting not in my own righteousness, but in Thy manifold and great mercies. I desire now, in union with this Sacrament, to offer myself, soul and body, to be a reasonable, holy and living sacrifice unto Thee, humbly beseeching Thee that by the merits and death of Thy SON JESUS CHRIST, and through faith in His Blood, I may obtain remission of my sins, and all other benefits of His Passion. And together with me, may it please Thee to bless Thy holy Church Universal throughout all the world; for JESUS CHRIST'S sake. Amen.

2. For Spiritual Nourishment.

BREAD of LIFE, Who hast said in Thy holy Gospel, My Flesh is meat indeed and My Blood is drink indeed, grant me in this holy

Sacrament so to eat Thy Flesh and drink Thy Blood, that my sinful body may be made clean by Thy Body, and my soul washed through Thy most precious Blood, that I may evermore dwell in Thee and Thou in me. Amen.

The Ten Commandments.

Minister.

OD spake these words, and said; I am the LORD thy GOD: Thou shalt have none other gods but Me.

People. LORD, have mercy upon us, and incline our hearts to keep this law.

Minister. Thou shalt not make to thyself any graven image, nor the likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, or in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down to them, nor worship them: for I the LORD thy GOD am a jealous GOD, and visit the sins of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me, and shew mercy unto thousands in them that love Me, and keep My commandments.

People. LORD, have mercy upon us, and incline our hearts to keep this law.

Minister. Thou shalt not take the Name of the LORD thy GOD in vain for the LORD will not. hold him guiltless that taketh His Name in vain. People. LORD, have mercy upon us, and incline our hearts to keep this law.

Minister. Remember that thou keep holy the

Sabbath-day. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all that thou hast to do; but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy GOD. In it thou shalt do no manner of work, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, thy cattle, and the stranger that is within thy gates. For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it.

People. LORD, have mercy upon us, and incline our hearts to keep this law.

Minister. Honour thy father and thy mother; that thy days may be long in the land, which the LORD thy GOD giveth thee.

People. LORD, have mercy upon us, and incline our hearts to keep this law.

Minister. Thou shalt do no murder.

People. LORD, have mercy upon us, and incline our hearts to keep this law.

Minister. Thou shalt not commit adultery. People. LORD, have mercy upon us, and incline our hearts to keep this law.

Minister. Thou shalt not steal,

People. LORD, have mercy upon us, and incline our hearts to keep this law.
