GOD, whose property it is always to have mercy and to spare, receive our petitions; that we and all Thy servants who are bound by the chain of sin, may, by the compassion of Thy goodness, mercifully be absolved. Hear, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the prayers of Thy suppliants, and forgive the sins of them that confess to Thee; that in Thy mercy Thou mayest grant us both pardon and peace. By going to Confession and Communion; 2. By praying for the Catholic Church, the general peace of Christendom, the conversion of schismatics and heretics, Jews, infidels and bad Catholics, and the intentions of the Pope; 3. By assisting the poor and sick with alms or otherwise, if able; and 4, by frequenting catechism or sermons as often as convenient. EMBER DAYS.
