Amen. UR Father, who art PATER noster, qui es stuctificetur ( nomen tuum; adveniat be Thy Name: Thy kingregnum tuum: fiat volun- dom come: Thy will be tas tua, sicut in cœlo et done on earth as it is in in terra. Ave Maria, gratia HALL, Mary, full of plena; Dominus te cum: benedicta tu in mu grace; the Lord is with thee: blessed art lieribus, et benedictus thou among women, and fructus ventris tui, Jesus. Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostræ. Amen. I blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. BELIEVE in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost; born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the Holy Catholic Church; the Communion of Saints; the Forgiveness of sins; the Resurrection of the body; and the Life Everlasting. Amen. V. O Lord, open Thou my lips: R. And my mouth shall show forth Thy praise. V. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. R. As it was in the beginning, is now, shall be, world without end. Amen. and ever Alleluia (except from Septuagesima to Easter). Then say one or all of the following Psalms. Ps. 62. Deus, Deus meus. GOD, my God, to Thee do I watch at break of day. For Thee my soul hath thirsted; for Thee my flesh, in how many ways! In a desert land, and where there is no way, and no water so in the sanctuary have I come before Thee, to see Thy power and Thy glory. For Thy mercy is better than lives: my lips shall praise Thee. : Thus will I bless Thee all my life long and in Thy Name I will lift up my hands. Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness and my mouth shall praise Thee with joyful lips. If I have remembered Thee upon my bed, I will meditate on Thee in the morning; because Thou hast been my helper. And I will rejoice under the covert of Thy wings; my soul hath cleaved to Thee: Thy right hand hath upheld me. But they have sought my soul in vain they shall go into the lower parts of the earth : They shall be delivered into the hands of the sword: they shall be the portions of foxes. But the King shall rejoice in God, all they shall be praised that swear by Him: because the mouth is stopped of them that speak wicked things. Glory &c. MA Ps. 66. Deus misereatur nostri. [AY God have mercy on us, and bless us: may He cause the light of His countenance to shine upon us, and may He have mercy on us. That we may know Thy way upon earth: Thy salvation in all nations. |
