The priest here takes the sacred Host into his hands, and holding it over the chalice, breaks it into two parts; and taking a small particle, forms with it the sign of the cross over the chalice three times, saying the Pax Domini: 1 The Pater noster is sung at Solemn Mass. I will take the bread of heaven, and call upon the name of the Lord. saying devoutly thrice: P.
