ways remember that we are most certainly to follow him. Give us grace to prepare for that last hour by a good and holy life, that we may not be taken unprepared by sudden death, but may be ever on the watch, that, when thou shalt call, we may go forth to meet the bridegroom, and enter with him into glory everlasting. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We must remember always that it is one of the greatest duties of Christian charity to pray for the repose of the faithful departed. They ever cry out to us from the cleansing flames of purgatory in the words of Holy Job: "Have pity on me, have pity on me, at least you my friends: for the hand of the Lord is heavy upon me." Offer up for them your prayers, communions, indulgences, and procure, according as you are able, the Holy Sacrifice to be offered for them. Enrol yourself in a Purgatorian Society, and fulfil carefully all its duties.

For the Dying.

(100 days plenary, if said three times a day for a
month.)

O MOST merciful Jesus, Lover of souls; I pray thee by the agony of thy most sacred Heart, and by the sorrows of thy immaculate Mother, cleanse in thine own Blood the sinners of the whole world who are now in their agony and are to die this day. Amen.

Heart of Jesus, once in agony, pity the dying.
