Desierto es este lugar, y pasada es la hora. 36 Despidelos paraque vayan á las alquerias y aldeas de la comarca, y compren para sí pan, porque no tienen que comer. 37 Y él respondiendo les dijó: Dadles vosotros de comer, y dijeronle ¿qué? ¿iremos y compraremos pan por doscientos denarios, y les daremos de comer? 38 Y él les dijó ¿cuantos panes teneis? Id, y vedlo. Y ellos despues que lo hubieron visto, dijeron: Cinco, y dos peces. 39 Y mandóles, que hiciesen recostar á todos por ranchos sobre la yerba verde. 40 Y recostaronse por compañias de ciento en ciento, y de cincuenta en cincuenta. 41 Y tomando los cinco panes, y los dos peces, alzando los ojos al cielo; bendijo, y partió los panes, y dió á sus discípulos paraque los pusiesen delante de ellos, y repartió los dos peces entre todos. 33 And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him. 34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. 35 And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed: 36 Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat. 37 He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat? 38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes. 39 And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass. 40 And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties. 41 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. 42 y comieron todos, y hartaronse. | 43 Y alzaron de los pedazos, doce esportones llenos, y de los peces. 44 Y eran los que comieron de los panes cinco mil varones. 45 Y luego dió priesa á sus discípulos á que subiesen en el barco, y se fuesen delante de él á Bethsaida de la otra parte del lago, mientras él despedia la multitud. 46 Y despues que los hubó despedido, se fué al monte á orar. 47 Y venida la tarde estaba el barco en medio de la mar, y él solo en tierra. 48 Y vió los que se fatigaban remando, porque el viento les era contrario: Y cerca de la cuarta vela de la noche vinó á ellos andando sobre la mar, y quería pasarlos de largo. 49 Y ellos viendole andar sobre la mar, pensaron que era fantasma, y dieron voces. 50 Porque todos le veían, y turbaronse. Mas luego habló con ellos, y les dijó: Tened buen ánimo, yo soy, no tengais miedo. 51 Y subió á ellos en el barco, y cesó el viento, y ellos estaban pasmados, y se maravillaban en gran manera. 52 Porque todavia no habían comprendido en atencion á los panes, por cuanto sus corazones estaban duros. 53 Y cuando estuvieron de la otra parte, vinieron á la tierra de Genezareth, y tomaron puerto. 54 Y saliendo ellos de la nave, luego le conocieron. 55 Y corriendo toda aquella comarca, comenzaron á traer en lechos de todas partes enfermos, cuando oyeron que estaba allí. 42 And they did all eat, and were filled. 43 And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes. 44 And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men. 45 And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people. 46 And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray. 47 And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land. 48 And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them. 49 But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out: 50 For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid. 51 And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered. 52 For they considered not the miracle of the loaves; for their heart was hardened. 53 And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore. 54 And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him, 55 And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was. 56 Y donde quiera que entraba en aldeas, ó ciudades, ó alquerías, ponían los enfermos en las calles, y le rogaban que permitiese tocar siquiera la orla de su vestido. Y todos los que la tocaban, quedaban sanos. CAPITULO VII. NTONCES se acuadrillaron á 56 And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole. CHAPTER VII. THEN came together unto him of, de Pharisees, or los Escribas que habían llegado de Jerusalem. 2 Los cuales viendo comer á algunos de sus discípulos con manos comunes, (es á saber por lavar,) condenabanlos. 3 Porque los Phariseos y todos los Judios siguiendo la tradicion de los antiguos, si no se lavan muchas veces las manos, no comen. 4 Y cuando vuelven de la plaza sino se lavan, no comen; y hay muchas otras cosas que han recibido y las guardan, como el lavar de los vasos, y de los jarros, y de los vasos de metal, y de los lechos. 5 Y le preguntaron los Phariseos y los Escribas ¿porqué tus discípulos no andan conforme á la tradicion de los antiguos, sino que comen pan sin lavarse las manos? 6 Y él respondiendo les dijó: Hipócritas, bien profetizó de vosotros Isaias, cómo está escrito: Este pueblo con los labios me honra, mas su corazon lejos está de mí. 7 Y en vano me honra enseñando doctrinas, mandamientos de hombres. 8 Porque dejando el mandamiento de Dios, guardais la tradicion de los hombres, el lavar de los jarros, y de los vasos, y haceis muchas otras cosas semejantes á estas. 9 Decíales tambien : Lindamente haceis vano el mandamiento de Dios para guardar vuestra tradicion. 10 Porque Moysés dijó: Honra á the scribes, which came from Jerusalem. 2 And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen hands, they found fault. 3 For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders. 4 And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brazen vessels, and of tables. 5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands? 6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. 7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. 10 For Moses said, Honour thy tu padre y á tu madre. Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; 19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats? 20 Y decía, que lo que sale del hombre, aquello contamina al hom-eth bre. 21 Porque de dentro del corazon de los hombres salen los malos pensamientos, los adulterios, las fornicaciones, los homicidios. 20 And he said, That which comout of the man, that defileth the man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 Los hurtos, las avaricias, las 22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedmaldades, el engaño, las deshones-ness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil tidades, el ojo maligno, la blasfe- eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: mia, la soberbia, la locura. 23 Todas estas maldades de den- 23 All these evil things come tro salen, y contaminan al hombre. from within, and defile the man. 8 S & E 24 Y levantandose de allí, fuése á los términos de Tyro y de Sidon, y entrando en una casa, quisó que nadie lo supiese, mas no se pudó encubrir. 25 Porque una muger cuya hija tenía un espíritu inmundo, luego que oyó de él, entró, y se echó á sus pies. 26 Y la muger era Griega, Syrophenisa de nacion, y le rogaba que echase al demonio fuera de su hija. 27 Y Jesus le dijó: Deja que primero se harten los hijos, porque no es bien tomar el pan de los hijos, y echarle á los perros. 28 Mas ella respondió y dijó: Si Señor, pero las cachorros debajo de la mesa, comen las migajas de los hijos. 29 Entonces le dijó: Por esto que has dicho vé, que el demonio ha salido de tu hija. 30 Y cuando llegó á su casa, halló que el demonio había salido, y la hija echada sobre la cama. 31 Y volviendo á salir de los confines de Tyro y de Sidon, vinó á la mar de Galiléa atravesando el territorio de Decapolis. 32 Y le trajeron un sordo, y que tenía impedimento en su lengua, y rogaronle que pusiera la mano sobre él. 33 Y tomandole aparte de la gente, le metió los dedos en las orejas, y escupiendo tocó su lengua. 34 Y mirando al cielo gimió, y le dijo: Ephphatha, que quiere decir abrete. 24 ¶ And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into a house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid. 25 For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet: 26 The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter. 27 But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs. 28 Ánd she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat.of the chil dren's crumbs. 29 And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter. 30 And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed. 31 ¶ And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis, 32 And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him. 33 And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue; 34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. 35 Y luego fueron abiertos sus 35 And straightway his ears were oidos, y fué soltado el impedimen-opened, and the string of his tongue to de su lengua, y hablaba bien. 36 Y les mandó que á nadie lo dijesen.
