Willis Judson Beecher (1838 - 1912) was professor of the Hebrew language and literature at Auburn Theological Seminary. He delivered the Stone lectures at Princeton in 1902 (which became The Prophets and the Promise). Among his other writings are The Teaching of Jesus concerning the Future Life and Drill Lessons in Hebrew.
