Whilst the Priest, and the Communicants, if need be, are consuming what remains of the Blessed Sacrament, and whilst the Sacred Vessels are being reverently cleansed, say:— GOD, Who in this wonderful Sacrament hast left us a perpetual Memorial of Thy Passion; grant us, we beseech Thee, so to venerate the sacred Mysteries of Thy Body and Blood, that we may always perceive in our souls the fruit of the Redemption which Thou hast purchased for us: Who livest and reignest, with the Father, and the Holy Ghost, One God, world without end. E' RE we leave Thine Altar, Lord, Let our thanks again arise For this Holy Sacrifice. And if thoughts have entered in Which have mixed our prayers with sin, Let Thy Son's pure Blood and grace Sweet it is to worship here! Amen, even so. "Therefore we are buried with Him by Baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord."-Rom. vi. 4, II. Nunc Dimittis. ORD, now lettest Thou Thy servant depart in peace: according to Thy word. For mine eyes have seen: Thy salvation. Which Thou hast prepared before the face of all people ; To be a light to lighten the Gentiles and to be the glory of Thy people Israel. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be world without end. Amen. |
