In the Collect for All Saints' Day, after the words "thy blessed Saints," add in margin,

When this Collect is used for the commemoration of any particular Saint, here may be added [especially Saint N., thy (Bishop, Confessor, Martyr, or Virgin) whom we commemorate before thee].

After the Gospel for All Saints' Day add,

COMMEMORATION OF ALL

SOULS.

TImmediately after the 2nd Evensong of All Saints (or of the Sunday, if All Saints fall on a Saturday) let the Evensong of All Souls follow, beginning with the Psalms, with their Anthems, without Glory be. Let Magnificat and its Anthem follow. Then let the Priest say, From the gates of hell

May they rest in peace. Ans. Amen.

Hear our prayer, O Lord. Ans. And let our crying come unto thee.

The Lord be with you.
Ans. And with thy spirit.
Collect. Let us pray.

MERCIFUL God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the resurrection

soever believeth shall live, though and the life, in whom whomhe die; who also hath taught us

(by his holy Apostle Paul) not for them that sleep in him; We to be sorry as men without hope meekly beseech thee, O Father, to raise us from the death of sin unto the life of righteousness, that when we shall depart this life we may sleep in him; and that at the general resurrection in the last day, both we, and* all the faithful departed, receiving again our bodies, and rising again in thy most, gracious favour, may, with all thy Saints, obtain eternal joy: through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.

In like manner immediately after Matins for the day shall be said the Matins of All Souls, beginning with the Psalms with their Anthem, without Glory be. The Lessons shall be read without benediction and without title.

IVE sentence with me, O God, and defend my cause against the ungodly people: O deliver me from the deceitful and wicked man.

For thou art the God of my strength, why hast thou put me from thee: and why go I so heavily, while the enemy oppresseth me?

O send out thy light and thy truth, that they may lead me and bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy dwelling.

And that I may go unto the altar of God, even unto the God of my joy and gladness: and upon the harp will I give thanks unto thee, O God, my God.

Why art thou so heavy O my soul and why art thou so disquieted within me?

O put thy trust in God: for I will yet give him thanks, which is the help of my countenance, and my God.

Glory be to the Father, &c. Anthem. I will go unto the Altar of God; even unto the God of my joy and gladness. T Then the Priest, standing humbly before the midst of the Altar, below the steps, shall say the Lord's Prayer with the Coilect following,
