૧૮ ને બીજું [દાાંડે] પાઊલ હમારી શાથે ઇઆકુબને તહીં પઠો શુઘલા વડીલ પણ હાજર હતા

19 And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God hath wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry.

૧૯ ને તેણે તેને ભેટીને દેવ પરદેશીઓનાં તેની શેવાથી જે જે કર્યાં હતાં તે હરેક તેણે વીગતવાર પરગટ કીધાં

20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord; and said unto him, Thou seest, brother, how many thousand of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law:

૨૦ ને તેઓએ શાંભલીને પરભુના મહીના કીધા ને તેહેને કહું આ ભાઇ ઇહુદીઓમાંના કેટલા હબ્નર વીશવાશ કરનાર છે એ તું દેખેછે ને તે શલે નેનશાતરના આવેશ રાખેછે

21 And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs,

૨૧ ને તેઓએ ૐ શનધી ખબર શાઁભલીધે કે હું પરદેશી માંના ગંધા ઇહુદીઓને સુશાથી પૂરવાનું ઊપદેશ કરતાં એમ કહે છે કે તેઓ દીકરાની ફુંનત ન કરે ને આગલી ગીતા પરમાણે ન ચાલ

22 What is it therefore? the multitudes must needs come together: for they will hear that thou art come. ૨૨ પછે હવે શું કરીએ લોકો નીશચે એકઠા આવશે કેમકે તુ આ એવાછું એ તેઓ શાઁભલશ

23 Do therefore this that we say unto thee: we have four men which have a vow on them;

૨૩ એમાટે હુને તને જે કહીએઇએ તે તું કર જેને માંન તા છે હેર્યાં ચાર માઁણુશ હમારી પાશે છે

21 Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and ail may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.

૨૪ તેઓને લે ને ભાથું મુંડાવવા શારૂ તેની શાથે ખવીતર થા ને તેઓને શારૂ ખરચ કર તેથી શઘલા ણો કે હું શસઁધી તે એ જે જે શાંભલું તે કંઈ નથી પણ હું પેાતેજ નેનશાશતર પાલતાં રીત પરમાણે ચાલેલું

25 As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.

૨૫ તેપણુ વીશવાશ કરનારા જે પરદેશી તેઓ શસઁધી હને ઠરાવીને લખી મોકલુંછું કે તેઓ હેવું કંઈ ન પાસે પણ એટલું કે સુર તીઓને અરપણ કરેલાંથી તથા લેાથી તથા ગુંગલાઈને નરેલાંથી તથા છીનાલાથી પોતાને બચાવે

26 Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the temple, to sig. nify the accomplishment of the days of purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.

૨૬ તાહારે પાઊલ તે નાંણશોને લઈને બીજે દાહડે તેની શાથે પીતર થઇને તેમાંના હરેકને શારૂ અરપણુ અપાએ તારૂં સુધી પીતર થવાના દાહાડાનું પુરૂં થવું જણાવતાં નંદીરમાં જઈ રહા

27 And when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews which were of Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the people, and laid hands on him,

૨૭ ને તે શાત દાણાડા પુરા થવા આએવા તાહાર આર્શીઓના ઇહુદીઓએ તેને મંદીરનાં બ્લેઇને શરવ લોકોનાં ગડબડ કીધી ને તે પર હાથ નાંખીને

28 Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place.

૨૮ ખુન પાડી કે આ ઇશરાએલી લોકો શાહે કરો જે માણશ હરેક જગેનાં આ લોકોને તથા નેમશાશતરને તથા એ જગેને ઊલ હું શરવને શીખવછે તે એજ છે ને વલી પણ તેણે હેલલાશીને મંદીરમાં લાવીને આ પલીતર જંગે અપવીતર કીધું

29 (For they had seen before with him in the city Trophimus an Ephesian, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.)

૨૪ કનકે તેઓએ એડ઼ેશશી તરી નશને તેહેની સાથે શેહેરમાં પહેલાં દીઠા ને પાઊલ તેહુને મંદીરનાં લાએવા હારશે એંમ તે એ ધારૂં

30 And all the city was moved, and the people ran together; and they took Paul, and drew him out of the temple,: and forthwith the doors were shut.

૩૦ તાહારે આખું શહેર ખભલાઊં ને લોકા દોડીને એકઠા થઆ પછી તેઓએ પાઊલને ઘેરીને મંદીરમાંથી તેહેને બાહાર કાહડા ને તુરત બારણાં બંધ કરાાં

31 And as they went about to kill him, tidings came unto the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.

૩૧ ને તેઓ તેને નારીનાંખવા તઈઆર થતા હતા તારે જ ના શરદારની પાશે ખબર આવી કે આખા ઇરૂશાલેનનાં દોડાશેડ

32 Who immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down unto them: and when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they left beating of Paul.

૩ર તેજ વખત શીપાઈઓને તથા જમાદારોને લઈને તેઓ ૫૩ તે દાડી આએવા ને તેઓએ શરદારને તથા શીપાઈઓને દીઠા પર પાઊલને મારવું નુ મ

33 Then the chief captain came near, and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and demanded who he was, and what he had done.

૩૩ તાહારે શરદાર પાશે આવીને તેણેને પકડી ને ખે શાંકલથી આંધવાનો હુકમ આએષો પછી પુછ્યું કે એ કાણુ હોશે ને એણે કું કરૂણે

34 And some cried one thing, some another, among the multitude: and when he could not know the certainty for the tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the castle.

૩૪ તાલુારે લોકોમાંના કોઇએ એક વાત કહી ને કોઈએ બીજી ને ગડબડના કારણથી તે કંઇ નીશચે બ્ની નાહોતો શકતો તાહાર તે ણે તેને કીલાનાં લઈજવાના હુકન આએપા

35 And when he came upon the stairs, so it was, that he was borne of the soldiers for the violence of the people.

૩૫ ને શીીડી પર તે પાઊંચા તાારે અન થઉં કે લોકાના નેર ના કારણ માટે શીપાઇઓથી તે ઊઁચકા *

36 For the multitude of the people followed after, crying, Away with him.

૩૬ કેમકે લોકોની ભીડે પાછલ આવીને ખુન પાડી કે તેને દુર કરેા 37 And as Paul was to be led into the castle, he said, unto the chief captain, May I speak unto thee? said, Canst thou speak Greek ?

૩૭ ને પાઊલ છીલામાંહે લઈજવાતો હતો તારે તેણે શર દારને કહું કે શું માહારે તને કંઈ કહેવું ઘટારથ છે ને તેણે કહ્યું કે ૐ હેલલાથી બાલી નંણુંછે

38 Art not thou that Egyptian, which before these days madest an uproar, and leddest out into the wilderness four thousand men that were murderers?

૩૮ જે નીશીએ આ દાણાડાઓથી પેહેલાં હુલડ કરૂં ને ચાર હુ ાર ખુની માઁણશોને જંગલમાં બાહાર લઇગ શું તુ તેજ નથી

39 But Paul said, I am a man uhich am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.

૩૮ પણ પાઊલે કહું કે હું કીલકીના તારાશનો ઇહુદીજ માં ઝુશ છુઊં હું અપરીધ શેહેરના વતની નથી ને તું મને લોકોને કહે વાદે એમાટે હું તાહારી વીનંતી કરૂંઘઊં

40 And when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand unto the people. And when there was made a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,

૪૦ ને તેણે તેણેને રત્ન આપી તાહાર પાઊલે શીીડી પર ઊભા રીને લોકોને હાથે ઇશારો કીધો ને બહુ છાઁના રહા તાહાર તેણે હેબરી બોલીમાં બોલતાં કહું

CHAP. XXII.

બાવીશના અયો

1 Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye my defence which I make now unto you.

૧ એ માણશે। ભાઇઓ તથા બાપ! હવે તમારે શારૂ જે ના હારી વાત તે તને શાંભલા
