Bristol. She had a large evening
party, and appeared in more than
accustomed health and spirits, but
while receiving some of her guests,
she sunk down and expired. Miss
Mills of the same neighbourhood,
and under circumstances equally
awful, died a few days before.

At Appleby, in the Isle of Wight,
the Rev. Richard Walker, D. D.
rector of Shorwell and Motteston,
in that island, and of Worthy, near
Winchester.

Aged 75, Rev. Joseph Wells,
many years rector of Boxford and
Lehome Basset, Wiltshire.

At Loddington, of an apoplectic
fit, aged 67, the Rev. Charles Stur-
ges, A. M. rector of Chelsea, Mid-
dlesex, nearly forty-two years vi-

car of St. Mary's, Reading, and
prebendary of the Cathedrals of St.
Paul's and Salisbury. He was son
of the Rev. Charles Sturges, for-
merly rector of Orlingbury, Nor-
thamptonshire.

Aged 77, the Rev. Joseph Sharpe,
rector of Spadingfield, and Market
Weston, Suffolk. He was upwards
of forty years reader of St. James's
in Bury, but which office he had
long since resigned.

At Stisted, Essex, the Rev. Jolm
Shepherd, M. A. rector of Pattis-
wick, and many years curate of
Paddington, Middlesex. He will
long be respected for his excellent
character, as well as by his valuable
illustration of the Common Prayer,
2 vols. 8vo, which it is to be la-
mented, he has not completed.
