7 Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. Mat. 7.6.

8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.

Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment. Ec. 8. 5.

Blessed is he that consider

eth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of troupersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever: his horn shall be exalted with honour. Ps. 112. 9.- For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. He. 6. 10.

Man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish. This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings.

25 A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear; because fear hath tor

ment. He that feareth, is not made perfect in love. 1 Jno. 4. 18.

27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst: but the

water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Jno. 4. 14.

28 In the multitude of people is the king's honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.

Judah and Israel were

many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making

merry. And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt; they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life. 1 Ki. 4. 20, 21.

29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he

exalteth folly.

that is hasty of spirit | his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps : who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: who, when he was reviled, reviled not again: when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously.

Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world, rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? Ja. 2. 5.

Ye have the poor always always. Mat. 26. 11. with yon: but me ye have not
