20 And Adam gave names to all cattel, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beaft of the field: but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

21 And the LORD God caufed a deep fleep to fall upon Adam, and he lept; and he took one of his ribs, and clofed up the flesh instead thereof.

22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, nadehe a woman, and brought her unto the man.

5And GOD faw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was onely evil continually.

6. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

7 And the LORD faid, I will destroy man, whom I have created, from the face ofthe earth, both man and beaft, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air: for it repenteth me that I have made them. 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

9 Thefe are the generations of Noah: Noah was a juft man and perfect in his ge nerations, and Noah walked with God.

To And Noah begat three fons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

The earth alfo was corrupt before God, & the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt: for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

13 And God faid unto Noah, The end of all felh is come before me: for the earth is filled with violence through them, and behold, I will deftroy them with the earth. 14 Make thee an ark of gopher-wood: rooms fhalt thou make in the ark, & fhalt pitch it within and without with pitch. 15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth ofit fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
