Circumcifion in fituted. Chap. xviii. me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, faying,

4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou thalt be a father of many nations:

5 Neither hall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name fhall be Abraham: for a father of many nations have I made thee.

6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitfult,and I will make nations of thee, and kings thall come out of thee.

7 And I willettablish my covenant between me, and thee, and thy feed after thee, in their generations, for an everlafting covenantsto be a God unto thee, and to thy feed after thee.

8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy, feed after thee, the land wherein thou art a ftranger,all land of Canaan, for an everlalting poffeflion: and I will be their God. 9AndGud faid unto Abraham, Thou fhalt keep my covenant therefore, thon, &

7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetchta calftender and good, and gave is unto a young man, & he hafted to drefs it.

8 And he took butter and milk, and the calfwhich he had dreffed, and fet it before them: and he (tood by them under the tree: and they did eat.

9 And they faid unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he (aid, Behold, in tent.

24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city, wilt thou alfo deftroy,and not fpare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to lay the righteous with the wicked and that the righteous fhould be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the judge of all the earth do right?.

And he faid, I will not do it for forties fake.

30 And he laid unto bim, Olet not the LORD be angry, and I will fpeak: Peradventure there fhall thirty be found there, And he faid, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

31. And he faid,Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD: Peradventure there fhall be twenty found there. And he laid, I will not deftroy it. for twenties fae..

31 Wherefore he called y place Beer-fheba: becaufe there they fware both of them. 32 Thus they made a covenant at Beertheba: then Abimelech rofe up, and Phichol the chief captain of his holt, & they returned into the land of the Philistins. 33 And Abrabam planted a grove in Beer-fheba, and called there on the Name ofthe Lord, the everlafting God.
